So get as many up to the home games as you can. None of this nonsense I'm gonna wait till sisu have gone, the team need our support and our club needs its city's people to turn up

Unfortunately Pete as much as I agree most people have many excuses past the "Well SISU are in charge" Bull so I doubt we will see much improvement in the home form, but it would be nice to see people return to the Ricoh especially for tomorrow, at least there is quite an away following coming up if I have heard the rumours correctly?

I honestly feel that there is closet support from most coventrians. This is it though our club could easily not exist next season so why wait?? Sisu or no sisu if we want a successful club we need to support it

I'm usually guilty of making excuses for the stay away fans, but not sure I can bring myself to do that tomorrow. A sunny afternoon, and we're getting toward the business end of the season in contention for promotion (if only just) for the first time in years.

That alone should guarantee a good turnout, but once you factor in the off the field stuff (this really could be the end of CCFC as we know it) I have no idea how people can justify going wild in the aisles of homebase tomorrow instead of getting themselves up to the Ricoh to cheer on the football team they might not have sometime soon.

I don't buy into the can't afford it argument. I understand that some people pick and choose because of finances, fine, but some people use it as an excuse for not going up at all. It's amazing how many of those people spend 2 or 3 nights a week down the pub, smoke 20 a day or play golf once a week. Priorities I suppose.

I neither smoke, play golf or go down the pub (even once a week!). I have a (VERY) small pension of £44 a month - yes, a MONTH! That is it. Apart from that I have no other income whatsoever. We live weekly (or is that weakly!) off my wife's pension. So even if I still lived in Coventry, I doubt if I could afford to get to matches, so I think it's a bit unfair tarring everyone with the same brush. Besides, I saw my first City match in 1963 and have attended approximately 1500 matches since then. Hardly an armchair supporter in the past, but unfortunately, yes, finances DO dictate!

I think to be fair he was generalising. You know as well as I do that if the club reach Wembley fit the play offs that we could sell our allocation twice over. Cost for a ticket transport etc. the cost will be equivalent to at least 5 matches at the Ricoh.

Those people clearly could afford it they just can't be bothered - but would blame sisu if they didn't get a Wembley ticket.

I totally understand about credit crunch and would never expect anybody to buy a footy ticket over food in their kids mouths!

If it was just about money then they would have seen the jpt games as a cheap chance to see their team like against crewe!

As grendel said, they could probably afford to go to arsenal and spurs and wembley if we got there!

Yep completely agree, but where were they for the Burton, Sheffield united and preston games, they were only a fiver too.

You'll be out of business soon as well. Still set up
ACL talk. 90% of people on here are more interested in then anyway. They can discuss if the women's institute are going to have the Best Snowdrop Competition at the a exhibition hall or if Mysteg Meg is really going to do a reading.

The Last rights for the club were given the moment the then board in 2003 sold our share of the ground AND signed up to a stupid rent agreement! The 45 million quid SISU have put in roughly is the money the old owners didn't have, and that money has just kept our heads above water for 5 years!!!

The thing that should have happened in 2002 when ITV digital went was to go in to administration WHEN we still had owned part of a ground (which was built 3 years later)! Doing the right thing then in Mike McGinnity's mind was the beginning of the end for the football club! Now going in to administration would mean im guessing the end of the skyblues, we have nothing to sell, theres no value in the business and with a stupid rent agreement over 50 years no one would touch us with a barge pole, regardless of how big the clubs name is!

But hey we have a game tomorrow with 3,000 Swindon fans heading our way we need to get behind the team more than ever, it could the first chapter of the final 6 Acts!!!

If Pompey can pull things off (which looks like they might!) then I'm sure CCFC will.

No I won't bother.

I am sure the likes of you cloughie CJ Hugh and Coundon will though. Even sky blue Swiss may don a nuns outfit and rub down the mountain to celebrate.

There is no football club in Coventry anymore. If we don't feed the council that's what you all want isn't it?

If it wasn't for the council the club would have had nowhere to play for the last 8 years.

It was the club sold the family silver. We had a perfectly good ground - now we don't. Can't see that as the Council's fault.
