Why so much negativity, surely things are on the up?

It's still bitty though and no 'good' performances all round. It's just bits and pieces with some awful football amongst it.

When it's dire it's very dire, as in the first 20 mins yesterday, when it appeared that for some players that was the first time they had ever actually seen a football before.

I just fans want to look at the product on the pitch and see something there that inspires them to think there is a spark or semblance of a good side there. A team that could challenge at the other end of the table.

We've yet to see it. We see a goal shy team leaking in goals that just operates in fits and starts. There's no consistency.

We are still very much work in progress and we have to accept it's going to take time, but I see nothing that should have us jumping up and down for joy. Things are on the up, but it is very slow and laboured. Hence the reticence to get over excited about our progress.

Some people don't appreciate there is no "quick fix" to the shit we are in... it's going to a long hard slog.. there will be no overnight miracles. We are not playing well, but MR (unlike AT) knows this and doesn't bull-shit.

Agree with Otis and VOR, it has been very poor in general and without a player of McGoldricks quality those stats would look very different.

Indeed.

If he's going in Jan we need to start lining up a little gem from somewhere a.s.a.p.

Forget any notion at all of getting anywhere near the play-offs. We lose McGoldrick and don't replace him we could well be looking over our shoulders at the other end of the table come the end of the season.

I think we'll be okay.

Not if we lose our best players though and it seems like we could be losing both Bailey and McGoldrick in Jan. For me they've looked our two best players.

Did you listen to the phone in yesterday?

It was the Garry McSheffrey love-in. Apparently he will score all the goals to replace McGoldrick.:facepalm:

The notion that he and McDonald are a strike force remotely capable in this league is deluded.

VOR is right there is nice quick fix, worse than that, unless our owners put their hands in their pockets, there's no fix at all.
