After today Coventry City no longer come under the responsibility of West Midlands police and PC Dave Mapp will not be our liaison officer.
As of Jan 1st we come under Northampton Police.
Dave Mapp has done an excellent job and I for one wish to thank him and the work he has done, he has always been fair and open and done the job with a smile on his face. He got to know the fans and often put himself in the firing line when any problems did occurs, I believe he will be missed.

I'll echo these comments. Been a few occasions when things got out of hand (Bradford being the most recent example) until he came in to calm things down.

So apart from the name, what connection does Ccfc have with Coventry anymore?

Of course supporters and many of players have huge links with Coventry. Time is running out though

We may well be the next Franchise FC. The writing is on the wall with Northampton on their way out of the Football League and Cardoza cosying up to Otium, it's only a matter of time before the two clubs merge into one. God I hope I'm wrong, but to me it is a real possibility, and 50 years of my supporting life will be gone.

Yes easiest way out for Sisu, I bet they believe it will bring them instant success save money and then blame us all for staying away.

Covampton United No Thanks.

Just got up with a stinking hangover and have to read you lot spinning the same old tiresome shite from a non- story. The Mail on Sunday would be proud of you.

We need to join up with Cardiff and Hull and protest at the FL offices.
No colour change, No name change and No location change.
The FA and the FL must be held accountable fir all this and start standing up against these evil owners, grow some balls you idiots.

I must say, this is an absolute irrelevance to me.

You have every right to feel that way, I have dealt with Dave Mapp on a number of occasions and its my view that he has done a good job looking after Coventry City supporters over the last four years.

What on earth are we going to do without him, cos most of us are still going to need a Mapp to get to Sixfields.

I think your worst fears are wrong, I don't think that will happen. More importantly though your 50 years of supporting will never be gone, it will always be in your heart and your memory!

I spoke to the Cardiff Trust about this at yesterday's game. Definitely worth looking at.

Who the fuck cares?

Anyone that goes to away games will.

Last season a couple of Cov lads were getting arrested for next to nothing. I stepped in and tried to sort things out. Wasn't getting anywhere other than possibly getting arrested. Dave saw there was a problem and came over. He had it sorted within seconds. Always good for the banter.

Maybe you don't do away games.

I do to most away games, I didn't like his predecessor (Cudworth?) too much.

So you will agree that he does a good job for us then. We will not be as safe as away supporters without him. He is the second best copper I have ever met and I have met quite a few over the years ;)

"We will not be as safe without him". Are you serious?
He was a copper doing his job, and being paid handsomely for it. He was never one of us.
