Long story short, the Mrs just lost her Mum and got left with her laptop. She can't sign into it or guess any of the usernames or passwords, but she'd really just like to get on there for sentimental reasons. Are there any hacker wizards that could offer some advice please

Yeah its windows, laptop only a few years old so guessing it's the latest version. Cheers Nick mate

Have you got access to a usb stick and a windows installation disc or anything?

There's a way to bypass the password but you need to boot into a windows installer

I don't think so mate. Are they things we can buy or would they have come with the laptop?

A computer shop might be able to do it for you? It's easier enough if you have the installation media.
