I am interested for those who think he can turn it around to point to why they think he can. Genuinely interested.
Not sure from a tactical perspective, but Onyeka should give us a different dimension to our play. So, I think we can deploy pretty much the same tactics, but we will have a ball winner in the middle of the park and someone with energy and strength.

That can only be a bonus, surely.

I thought Rudoni would be the game changer we need right now, but he's just not looking the same player.

The Boro game is so key now. We simply cannot lose that one. Really, we could do with the win. I think that's the one thing that will break this miserable spell.

Because if we were to win, we would have to play well.

That would be the one springboard.

Play poorly again and lose and I think that would pretty much be it unfortunately. Too many inept performances

We weren't bad today. Just didn't threaten enough.

Against Boro we will have to put our chances away. It all boils down to that

My prediction though is another 0-0.

I think the records we've broken and the points we've accumulated over a long period of time he gets a reprieve if we end up in the play offs, yes I'll be pissed off at missing the auto's but I don't think there were many who thought this squad was big enough or good enough to make top two, I hope we don't have to worry about it come the end of the season.

He will have blown the biggest lead in the league's history through failing to be adaptable. Frankly, he will have proven beyond all reasonable doubt that he is not the man to take the club forward.

The narrative from Lampard (no doubt shared by many on here) will be that he hasn’t been sufficiently backed in the transfer market and was never going to be able to sustain the title-winning form with such a small squad. But throughout the season he’s done a poor job of integrating new signings into the team, or even of making use of the squad depth he does have.

Not sure why a fully fit midfielder we sign from the premier league hasnt been intoduced today , weird .

Can play 6 or 8 btw

I understand not starting him, I'd probably have done the same. But to not bring him on was strange.

I can only imagine it was because when Oxford went down to 10 men we took a midfielder off for a striker and dropped Rudoni a little deeper. So he could only then come on for Grimes, and Lampard is never going to take him off.

Hes been dreadful rotating MVE and KKH , dreadful rotating the strikers even when they are in or out of form .

Has failed to rotate even once matty grimes despite dreadful perdormances .

We have 2 starting 11s basically that could play championship football , he has a good squad

I think Lampard is paying the price for getting the team overperforming for the first half of the season. We're better than what we're producing now, but probably not quite as good as we thought we were in October/November time

From what we've heard about Onyeka does he really have the qualities that we needed today? I'm not sure

Even if thats fair , the last 13 games we are 17th in form .

So even if we overperformed at the start we only needed top 10 form to keep a nice cushion to 2nd and 3rd .. weve failed to do even that

The drop off has been unreal and frankly pathetic

Got the team wrong for me today. Put out a “make a point” selection with Lati and Woolf. Not playing Onyeka to make the midfield more dynamic in favour of Eccles in the 10.

Eccles doesn’t threaten in either box and for a match that we were always going to have a multitude of set pieces in. It was criminal not having Thomas and Kitching on the pitch. I’m not sure we won an offensive header today.

That was a double edged sword wasn’t it. Had to drop 1 if not 2 of Kitchen and Thomas because of recent mistakes/performances. With the amount of set pieces/corners we had today we obviously lose the threat of them getting on the end of one-but also risk another gaff if they played at the wrong end.

Gonna get pelted again for “negativity” but because his one talent is breaking up play and that wasn’t needed at all today. We played three DMs essentially for most of the game when it just wasn’t needed. Oxford were never going to hit us on the break or anything else. We needed someone who could pick apart a defence and deliver a set piece.

He can play 6 or 8 , abd lets be honest last thing we needed was the super grimesy sidewards show for the last 30
