Tbf I remember them just being carried by Dmitri Payet that season before he spat the dummy out and wanted to go back to France
Yes he was very impressive during his spell there and then did little after rather like Michu did at Swansea

It’s a career ender. The best thing for Lampard’s career is to take us up because if we get relegated, it doesn’t go against him. Much like McKenna’s reputation at Ipswich is intact despite going down without much of a fight.

West Ham are a big club but they have delusions of grandeur. They thought Moyes-ball was beneath them and it’s gone belly up since they let Moyes go. Who coincidentally is doing well at Everton! They also don’t like Lampard to begin with.

I’m certain that Lampard views our club as a project so he’s not going to bolt straight away and he’ll be careful about his next destination.
I've got a feeling if we go up, Lampard will be bang in line for the England job. Howe won't leave Newcastle and at that point it'll only be Potter that would take it.

Given his teams keep winning the Euro U21 comps I suspect Carsley is most likely to be the next England manager.

I thought he said before he didn’t want it?
