Sounds far fetched but I could see it happening. Tuchel has a bad World Cup. Lampard has another good season with us. The usual thing with the FA is they swing from one pendulum to another. They wanted the best quality manager this time around, but if Tuchel doesn’t do well it’ll be all about an English manager.

Yep agree with this, mentioned it on another thread. Think he would jump at it too.

I think the media's annointed one is Eddie Howe.

Yes, I certainly don't think they'd dump Tuchel, or any other manager, this early in his stewardship

Makes sense Lampard would be looked at imo. English, plays in a similar way to the English DNA set up and has experience in the highest English league both as a player and manager.

Couldn't even blame him, although first he needs to keep rebuilding his reputation with us

I thought he his name would come up. Lampard has doke nothing to warrant being England manager, two moderate seasons with Championship clubs , he certainly would have got Everton relegated had he not been sacked. You need better than Lampard at international level.

According to journalist and close friend of Guardiola Guillem Balagué, it will be Pep.

If Lampard was to get us up next season and then keep us there I think he’d certainly be in line at some point

I think the one they really want is Howe and the assumption was a few years ago when Southgate did eventually leave that Newcastle would move Howe on for a ‘bigger name’ and Howe would slot in - Alas he’s done better at Newcastle than most expected and he isn’t in a position to take the job

Hopefully he can do both jobs like on football manager.

Sell Allen for nothing but insert a £400 million add on if he makes an international appearance.

First Squad. Pick Allen.

Tuchel is a disastrous appointment.

Fuck knows what formation we were playing there but can’t leave ourselves so open against quick forwards like that. Another manager being too clever with tactics.

Fed up of watching the so called ‘England DNA’ of wingers getting the ball and just turning around and passing it straight back. Centre backs taking 5 minutes on the ball. Dreadful.

Sort it out Doug ffs

What had the charismatic & tactical genius Southgate done before he got the job?

I can’t see Lampard being the next England manager but he could get the job at some point in the future if he has a couple of good seasons managing a Premier Lesgue club.

Hopefully that will be us

Tuchel only signed an 18 month contract which runs out after the World Cup. If he has a bad WC it won't be renewed. If he has a good WC he might not want to stay.

I'll be honest I thought Tuchel was a great appointment, a clear winner and track record at club level

However whilst I didn't watch the last couple of a England games the feedback is atrocious and worrying when fans are calling for his head already!

From everything from squad selection, lineups, performance etc... its very uninspiring and unconvincing at the moment...

Fatigue is a shit excuse too, look at Bruno Fernandes on Sunday having played 57 games for Man Utd last season

I hope it is Frank. He will have had to rip up some trees at Coventry for the FA to appoint him and that can only be good for us.

Frank is a bright man. If he did take us up and jumped ship to England, and like many others failed there, he would be back in The Championship again. Eventually maybe he'd want to manage his country, but he'll want to some real success at club level first. Building CCFC into a stable premier league club like Brighton, or Brentford should be his goal.

Context though. Bruno was playing in a semi and final of a competition. Bit easier to get up for than Andorra away and a friendly in Nottingham.

It wasn't good but I think it's more about attitude in the squad, not taking these games seriously and having one eye on a break.

I'm not panicking just yet.

Weirdly I thought the Nations League was a bit of a waste of time but actually us getting relegated to B has really cost us the chance of testing ourselves against top opposition.

New manager same old shit, as for the World Cup the players are just not good enough so better start looking for a new manager who can get the players to play as a team.
