Why can't they get some people on community service to litter pick?
Personally applaud them for standing up in what they believe in, I think this was more a Lucas thing than corbyn but climate change seems to be far down the list of priorities at the moment

Of course it’s not new but It’s wider than that though, it’s about someone fighting to what they believe in. If that then makes them conscious about all thinks environmental then surely that’s a positive thing.

I'm just saying how many previous generations that did marches etc ended up continuing that philosophy once they grew up and other more pressing day-to-day issues took over? Look these kids up in 25 years time and see how many are still going on about it and actually doing anything about it.
The current generation have been talking about climate change/global warming/plastics etc for quite some time, but when push comes to shove what do we do? Get in our cars, drive to the shops to get intensively farmed/processed food in plastic packaging. Not because we want to or think it's ideal, it's just if you don't it's pretty much impossible to live in the modern world and keep yourself and your family fed and ensure a roof over their head. So will it be for them eventually, and their kids will be banging onto them about why don't they do more to look after the planet, and the grandkids will do it to them.

In Corley the other day it looked like a van had just emptied in the middle of the road and driven off. Disgusting.
When I was a kid, we went to some woods with the school to learn about the effects of dropping litter. There was a goodie dressed in green and a litter bug dressed in red.
Obviously the goodie and the baddie, we had to find the litter bug and tell him why it was wrong (we had learnt it through the day).
Don't think he expected about 10 primary school kids to pile into him for it, taken to the floor until the goodie could catch him.

Despite the myriad of other issues, the amount of litter on the streets is my number 1 bug bear. It's fucking disgusting and people caught dropping litter should be forced into a year or community service picking it up.
Yes always noticed this when visiting my local uni - how much litter is left at concerts etc.climate change is more nature driven than people driven. this for me summed it up perfectly
