The man was by far the most committed out the whole bunch today (from what some fans have said) and i think he was frustrated at the players lack of drive or need to win.
He was trying his hardest to get us back in the game and got swore at by a yobby fan! God in his situation id tell them to fuck off!
Anyone remmember Eric Cantona? The guy berating him was swearing at him and being racist and Cantona reacted. He got suspended for several months for that but i still think his reaction was justified.
No man or women should have to play under those circumstances!
No wonder things are so low at the club when they're not only getting stick from SISU (contracts, sackings etc) but also getting treated like pure shite by the fans!
Language like that is not needed at a game! What sort of image does that create for the young children going to these matches? What sort of image do this fans think they're setting for their own children!

I don't think he was the worst offender today. I swear I think the angry response from the supporters he got before he reacted was partly Hussey's fault. I thought he was horrific today especially 2nd half when he was on the side of our supporters. I honestly can't believe there was supposedly other championship clubs in for him. Hussey had wound up a load of people about 20 seconds prior with some typically shite play - Kilbane miss controlled a couple of balls in quick succession afterwards and took the brunt of the abuse from the fans.
Not him directly, but someone from the club will have got the vibe from here/ twitter etc,
All clubs are in touch with social media these days

I was more incensed at the time than anyone but he's been big enough and man enough to apologise! I accept it and hopefully we can draw a line under it and move on to Tuesday and see a better performance!
Some of our so-called supporters need to man up.
The bloke showed some passion, that he cares as much as we do. That's a good thing.

A few weeks ago, I was ridiculed and lambasted in the thread about how acceptable swearing and bad language is at football matches.
Many of the people commenting in that thread about how 'it's just how it is' and 'if you don't want to hear it, then you should sit in the family stand' are now crying like petulant children when the same behaviour is displayed by those on the field.
It's just part of the chain of events. You allow a certain atmosphere to develop in the stands then you have to face the consequences when that 'acceptable' language then carries on to the pitch and is shared between fans and players.
If there were stronger rules enforced along with a different level of acceptable behaviour from fans, then today's situation would never have occurred.
You can't have it both ways chumps.

I'm not sure what's in the bloody water in Coventry at the minute but these threads saying "no swearing at games", "stop hurting my feelings" what a load of bollocks, get a grip, it's football not pissing Polo with the queen
Don't be pathetic. I'd rather have a winner who gets pissed off as captain than someone like McSheffrey / Baker / Bell who only turns up on 'special occassions' such as their Mum's birthday or in McSheffrey's case, playing ex teams of his.

Exactly. Man up girls. This is a man's sport and it's best played by driven personalities. Take Roy Keane or Rooney's temper away and you get half the player.

Although I cringe a bit when the cliche of "passion" is banded around (I just think of some who use this to defend the charming John Terry) I am in agreement with you on this.
Supporters who give abuse to players and then preach moral indignation when someone dares to respond back look foolish.
Whatever Kilbanes shortcomings now as a player he shows no lack of effort or commitment. Abuse is not appropriate.
