KEOGH v TURNER - Who is the better (7 Viewers)

With the inevitable departure of Big Ben Turner to Cardiff last season I think we all thought he was irreplaceable for CCFC and whoever was the eventual replacement couldn't quite lick his boots.

Well we have that replacement haven't we that phenomenon called RICHARD KEOGH !!!

This guy is absolutely outstanding and getting better each game - he is almost the complete defender and must be on the horizon of several Prem clubs and we are very fortunate to still have him at CCFC.

Turner for me has graduated from raw rooky status to the player he is today again a superb defender with similar attributes to RK.

But if asked who is the better of the two I would have to go with our Captain Courageous who has the edge on BT in the composure stakes, tactical awareness and ball playing ability.

Additionally RK has already improved his worth this season by seamlessly taking on the captains role and is an absolute inspiration to the other players who in turn give there all when they see Richards heroics on the football field week after week.

Clearly player of the season already RK is a joy to watch, gives his all and is all ours (for the moment) so enjoy while it lasts.

RK or BT ??? - what do you think ???

To be honest I was pissed off when Turner left as he has the potential to play in the Prem but in reality with Cranie and Keogh playing so well we haven't really missed him. Turner is an outstanding player who can dominate centre forwards physically whilst Keogh does it through sheer guts and determination. Keogh is more mobile but Turner reads game better. Keogh is quicker but Turner is quick enough. In an ideal world we would have had Keogh and Turner playing alongside each other.

Keogh is better, without question. Might not score as many goals as Turner, but is more consistent and better defensively which is defenders main job. And Keogh is not injury-prone like ben...

keough by a country mile, turner was injury and mistake prone, a 3 month spell last year had fans thinking he should play for england lol

Injury and mistake prone! Think there's a bit of sour grapes there. Keogh makes as many mistakes and has awful positional sense leading to the recovery tackles and harrying many praise him for. Turner was absolutely dominant in the air too. Keogh is better with the ball at his feet and a different style of defender.

Ideally we'd have Keogh at RB and Turner and Cranie in the middle.

I'd hardly say Ben Turner was injury prone to be fair. He had the long lay-off last season yes, but that's it from what I recall.
