The issue with that, as has been gone over many times on here (with diagrams and everything!) is that no two people can agree on what constitutes "Coventry". So you're asking Michael to do the impossible. I think the point needs raising if he is to represent fans' views accurately that any move to anywhere even slightly contentious could result in some boycotting. It's yet another reason that the club needs to improve it's communication to fans and let us know where this mystery stadium is going to be.
Heard it all before mate, "Oh sorry, the last lot were awful weren't they? This is the best board I've ever seen at CCFC. Etc. Etc.". Actions speak louder than words and they've done nothing to show they understand the challenges facing the club and how to overcome them. You've already been pulled up on the myth that the council pulled the plug. I find it hilarious however that Joy seems to have seriously never considered that someone might just find her incompetent and untrustworthy. All the way through the JR docs the line is "Well of course the council made a bad decision, because we're awesome and would be way better". Again, talk is cheap. They have a mountain of distrust to overcome, with all stakeholders, if they don't accept the need for contrition, then we're no further along.
Just my opinion: when it comes down to brass tacks, I'm not wedded to the Ricoh, but I do want a club that is in where I see Coventry as (I use the major roads personally as boundaries, but as I said to Ian, there's no definitive answer). It's massively important that the fans are consulted and engaged on the location specifically and really should be part of the decision making process. Even if it's through some ridiculous guessing game where we are told key facts about the sites but not their locations (e.g. travel time) so we can give some input. It matters far more than the colour of the seats or whether the pies are made locally.
I'd like to see KCIC push this, especially as their name is Keep Cov In Cov, and it's probably more apt than any other cause/question at the moment.
Keep up the good work Michael. I think you're right about the majority opinion, and even some of the extremes aren't as extreme as they first appear. The way you've phrased it is IMO the closest I've seen to someone capturing the majority mood. Well done.
