He might well be 16 but it's Kastaneer with the skidmarks

Moronic comment and sorry for being blunt about it. But Wayne Rooney was banging in goals in the premiership at 16.
If your good enough your old enough and MR has him on the bench for a reason. Granted he might go back to the 23s when we have a full squad but it will have nothing to do with him being 16. Just that is what will be best for him given his abilities currently.

It's not a moronic comment. My point is in the wider context of the squad he should be classed as a kid, rather than a bonafide first team squad player. Yes he is on the bench, but a lot of that is due to injuries. MR obviously sees something in him

The Rooney comment is a bit of a red herring, and one that's thrown around every time a younger comes in.

I am in no way down playing the lads potential.

I know a few will disagree but in Kastaneer I see a really good player. He is being criticised for not taking his chance yesterday but no player converts every chance no matter how good a chance it is. His run had power and pace, the shot was on target, and he followed up well and nearly scored with the second attempt.
Very good player if we can utilise him properly IMO

He has potential. Had he slid that goal in people would be like wow 2 goals and hes only a sub etc

Fine lines

He will play his part this season

Thats why leasing.c oh fuck it thr checkatrade is a welcome tournament this season for me

We have a big squad when u add u23s too

Important to give game time to likes of wilson, mcallum, shipley, westbrooke, kastaneer, bakayoko, wakefield etc once the first team starting 11 takes shape

Impact sub only, cant see him ever getting into the starting line up.
When he’s up to speed fitness wise, Jody Jones will be back and will be ahead of him in the squad.

Let Baka start all those games and show why he should still be at the club after this season. Safe to say when he’s brought on in league games it’s for nothing productive

Well, he can't as yet speak English or is that Jobello? he is playing in a new team in a new country for different fans he seems to be trying a little too hard atm, hopefully Robins will get into his head and he conforms and starts producing, all players no matter what pedigree they come with or without are a risk its how they adapt, if he feels the love Max has here I think he will be a decent player for us...time will tell

He is 23 years old and our player for 3 years and has the raw talent so if Robin's can mould him into what he wants I think he can be a big player this season but also moving forwards.

Jobello cant speak English, Kasteneer can.

I think he will have a big part to play. I agree about the trying too hard bit. Its tough with just 10 minutes at the end.

Kasteneer is seen by his team mates as someone who plays for himself rather than the team
Mark Robins won't stand for that too long in the same way he called out Duckens Nazon for the same thing

He started every pre season match with jobello until he got that injury. It seemed clear that Robins wanted them both playing at the same time. I don't see why that would change long term

Surely Hiwula if he doesn't up his game? Even if only for a handful of games or rotate the two. I thought Hiwula was a lot brighter yesterday but on the whole hes been disappointing. I wouldnt be opposed to showing him his place in the lineup isn't guaranteed

Enough with the rational thinking, how dare you. He's been written off a few sub appearances into a 3 year contract so he's shit, keep up mate.

I personally feel that too much pressure should not be put on Jones return. He's already suffered from a repeat injury and needs to be carefully reintroduced. We also should remember that he was not a proven success in L1. His best moments were in L2

Robins will deal with it in house as he did with Nazon
If the lad accepts it he will make a big impact like the Duke did
If he doesn't don't expect to see him start too many games

So does that mean he is not popular with the other players?
If he is disregarding the coaching he is being given then it will be a problem. MR must like him IMO because he didn't go crazy about his stupid sending off. Robins will soon tell us if things are not right, he has before.
