Thought I'd say a few things get them off my chest, all my opinion

Home Fans

After Carl Bakers comment last night I was pee'd off not only because he generalised a minority but because we have this hardcore 8000 who are there week in week out and yes sometimes we boo but doesn't that happen at most clubs ? He made out that home form was fans fault but there's only so much noise and support 8000 fans can give so he can't expect it to be like anfield until we get a bit of success its a two way thing. I am not one for booing I clap nearly everything sometimes too much I do my best to get behind them but its to be expected that sometimes you get sick and tired of a lacklustre performance so negativity will come through from the fans but the players have to be professional and do their job still and not alienate a load of fans with post match comments.

Sisu/ACL

Both are being like squabbling school children, enoughs been said on this subject and I'd rather leave it to the experts like OSB, but if it was me this is what id do, accept the 400k rent but sign contract for that rent till the end of the season, we see what league we are playing in (most likely league 1) and we re-negotiate in a professional manner, that way it doesn't distract players fans or anything else the focus is on the pitch. One thing I think should happen is a sliding scale through the leagues, for example (random numbers no relevance) 200k if we are in league 1 with 90% on match day revenue 400k if we are in championship with 80% match day revenue and 600k if we are in premiership with 70% match day revenue. Therefore we get the rent and revenue we need and ACL benefit if the club does well.

This season

I still don't think it's over, a draw last night isn't a disaster, if we follow it up with a win on Saturday that's 7 points from 3, then with trip to Pompey (I'm going never been before bit excited) which is very winnable we could have 10 points from 4 and then were flying going into the last 6 games. But it's been such a rollercoaster season you never know when it's over so far this season I've given up after 3 different games only for us to fight back away from home. So play offs is not impossible but it'll go down to last day of season, I predict an aguero esk last minute winner from baker to get into play offs (imagine that!!)

The future

My hopes for is is that we become a financial secure team who have a strong emphasis on developing our own youth players whilst adding quality when need and become a strong free flowing style championship team were we can push on from. I'm 50/50 on wether Pressley is the man but a win and a draw from 2 isn't a bad start at all

So keep the faith PUSB

Cue the abuse, go easy lads

I don't think you need to explicitly point out that it's all your opinion. Even here I think people will get that.

In terms of what you say about Carl Baker, I couldn't agree more. you are spot on - and let me say I am a Carl Baker fan, I think he is performing a lot better and is doing a good job as captain. I also do feel like the players should be allowed to say what they actually feel so if he genuinely believes what he said then fair enough. But I do think it really wasnt on to try and shift the blame for this horrendous home form on to the fans. like you say, it is not a majority it is a minority. but if they pay to go they have the right. they are booing for a reason!!! if we hadnt had such poor form, then they wouldnt be booing simpe as - so yeah I really didnt like him trying to hide behind that. if someone pays to go and see what we have been putting on at home this season, they absolutely have the right to boo because quite frankly it isnt good enough. this should not stop them doing their job.

Regarding this season - I said it the other day and I stick by it, if we cant beat Colchester and Hartlepool at home, considering where we are into the season, we dont deserve to be in the playoffs. The game last night was very telling - ok we have lost some home games but to decent teams in this division in Yeovil, Swindon - two teams in the playoffs - and we all know how dangerous Crewe can be. but Colchester?!?! yes the seasons not over but I just can not see it from here.

Im going to refrain from comment on the future or SISU /ACL as I just cant be doing with it at the moment!

but I like the post - its all about personal opinion and I enjoy reading other peoples thoughts - especially when they give explainations behind why they think as they do
