Association football, commonly known as football, is a sport played between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball.

[SUP][/SUP] The game is played on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by using any part of the body besides the arms and hands to get the football into the opposing goal.

The goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with their hands or arms while it is in play and then only in their penalty area.

Outfield players mostly use their feet to strike or pass the ball, but may use their head or torso to strike the ball instead. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. If the score is tied at the end of the game, either a draw is declared or the game goes into extra time and/or a penalty shootout depending on the format of the competition.

What are we as fans supposed to do in the unlikely event that a Cov player manages this?

Can I offer a couple of new definitions!

Football: An object kicked about between two opposing teams in an attempt to out score opponents.

Coventry City Fan: An object kicked about between two opposing teams in an attempt to out score opponents.

Just everything seems to have all got completely lost in all this mess.

Seem to have forgotten what the game is all about and what we love about the game. Doesn't even feel like football anymore .......... does it?

Top man Otis, football has gone out of the window, but until this shizz has been sorted out, this is how it's going to be! I'd much rather talk about how well the guys have played, or how bad so and so played, the goal was/wasn't offside, the ref was a twat etc. This is reality, and we(The Fans) are the ones to suffer. I desperately want to watch a decent side play at the Ricoh, but for me it's a "No Go" until SISU have gone! I've cancelled "Sky World" for the home games but now will not go to away games either. This is what it comes down to with regards to SISU. I probably will never see the team play a game again(Age and health against it happening)
