You're being irrational, overall we deserved to beat Millwall and Leicester. Leicester had a good first half but were much the better team in the second. Millwall we deserved the win on the balance of chances created. These are decent sides, we are not going to be completely dominant in games all season. If we continued or last 10 form for the remainder of the season we'd finish on 86 points. I think we might possibly need more than that now but it isn't a huge uplift to get to 90, is it?

Edit, I thought we were on 61. Last 10 form gets us to 83, still not a huge jump to 90.

We need to be better than our last 10 between now and may it wont be enough .

Not just ipswich but hull too are showing signs of grinding out results and we have to play them away

I dont think thats irrational

This is the issue

I like Evo but this is giving vibes of when robins was sacked and lampard was hired

Let me make one thing clear , i will not be gaslit by fuckers on here when trying to discuss the form or failings of a current manager .. i hope you understand

Tom , all you are doing by bringing robins into this is trying to dismiss concerns about our form as though we are some bitter ex that cant move on .

Ive given lampard so much praise on this forum so its a silly thing to bring up
It's relevant as I know not only would you not be going after Robins in this position but you would likely be praising the season to date. As would I, so theres no double standards from me here.
I have favourite managers of course but I support the club, a manager is useful until he isn't. Robins was great until he wasn't. Lampard has done a very good job to date and has been a clear upgrade. We are top of the league still which frankly I would have thought pretty much impossible at this point. It's still there for us so I don't really understand the knives coming out at this point, no.

We all know we've dropped off a bit, people probably thought it might take a bit more than being still actually at the top of the league for the knives to come though.
Fact is theres still a hardcore few that can't accept Robins was fired and were waiting for literally any reason to turn.
What he did last season was pretty miraculous too. Overall he's done a great job.

The knives out comment is nonsense to be honest.
People are just pointing out that our current form (last 12 games, and almost entirely down to our away performances) replicated for the rest of the season would see us in serious danger of missing out on the autos.

That's a stone cold fact that some people just don't want to hear.

Feb is the month we have a chance to make the gap to Ipswich bigger, they’ve got all 4 games away, don’t know how that loss to sheff Utd will effect them, Nunez and philogene out. But we need to to be more or less perfect at home and hope we find something away.dont like thinking too far ahead but get to April still up there and 3 of the last 5 at home

I guess being top of the league isn't enough to win you guys over

Why wouldn't people want to hear it? Everyone knows we need to buck up a bit. It's all completely over the top though.

Tom to be clear , i will discuss frank lampard without people like yourself suggesting its because i cant get over mark robins .. i go everywhere watching this fucking club , ive thoroughly enjoyed this season but the last 11 games have been shit .. im concerned we will throw it away .

That is a PERFECTLY VALID thought my man .. cheers

Utter nonsense. Our current form sees us, in all liklihood, miss out on autos.
That's a fact.
The idea we shouldn't be discussing it is fucking bonkers
Like most people agreed we wouldn't hit 100pts even though form suggested we would it's fair to not panic that our current form won't continue for every either

Also we have won 2/3 so that current form would see us get promoted

People can worry but it's not true that we're falling off a cliff

What utter nonsense.
It's not about being won over its about discussing what's happening at the current time.
We discussed the incredible start, why cant we discuss the poor away formof the last 2 months?

Our away form has fallen off a cliff.
Our home form is still outstanding, but that alone probably won't be enough.

You do what you want mate but its a forum where people respond and my response is you're OTT given the current position. I am also allowed to say he's done a good job. If I think he's suddenly isn't doing a good job one day, I will also say.

Im just saying if you continue to suggest any comments i make about frank lampard are because of mark robins then we will just end up having a pretty shitty tone with eachother on here going forward .. you cant and wont dismiss my concerns mate

Also , hes done a good job sure ..we dont disagree

Has the form been very good over the last 11 games yes or no

If we carry on like this will we likely fuck it up yes or no

Flippant comment but truly should we mess this season up what do fans expect

We have drawn quote a few. It's fine margins. The wins will return

And home form could possibly be enough on its own. We can't say for sure Boro and Ipswich keep their form up either

It's all ifs and buts.
I said at the start of the season boro would last the course, I don't see anything to change that.

Ipswich are also poor away and I see nothing to suggest that will change.

But pinning our homes on maintaining a near perfect home record and Ipswich remaining shit doesn't really sound like a great foundation for a title run in.

We need to sort out our away form ASAP because it's simply not good enough.

The fact we're trying to sign the Brentford lad tells me Lampard k ows it as well but until I see us turn up away from home without a 2 1 7 formation I'll be concerned.

He literally said the knives are out 😆 there are other posters who don't have to say it honestly but its obvious.
It's probably best I leave it though, I'm really not in the mood to fall out with people over fucking Frank Lampard tonight.

We'll leave it. I'll be devastated if we fuck it, I think some of this is performative and OTT though. That's it.

No one is suggesting we don't try to address away from

And I don't mean Boro or Ipswich fall away from the race. Just that maybe they don't maintain current ppg that's all.

Sure its OTT thinking , imagine fucking up such a massive lead

Our form is a concern , if we go to QPR tomorrow and lose we will have 15 points from the last 12 games

I dont want to fail , and for the last time i like lampard , im allowed to talk about the job hes doing and im allowed to be critical of him .

But they may do, so we have to restore ours to something more like it was.

I doubt we're going to get back to where we were September/October, that's once in a generation stuff but it needs to be better than it is now

Didn't see that comment so thought Tom was exaggerating and that's who I aimed that at, my mistake, apologies to the pair of you.

Threads moving too fast for me!
Don't worry, I'm getting too old for forum arguments. I have nothing against Evo so I'll just say that's his opinion and mine is mine. If I ever think Lampard is actually doing a bad job I'll turn on him in a flash though so don't worry 😆

He's doing a great job, and start of the season I'd have snapped your hand off for play offs.

But to screw it up from the position we got in would be heartbreaking. And after Monday night I'm really worried he's not sure how to sort it.

I dont think lampard is doing a bad job we are top , i am critical of our recent form and some of his tactics have seen us more open than well , you can guess .

But debating it has lead us down a weird path of weirddness that makes no sense ..

I think we both agree the form is a concern surely ?

Thats basically it , but lets be totally honest , i wont be happy with frank if we fail because the circumstances were such that he couldnt surely fuck it up .
