Not sure what it will achieve and just drag everything on.

Might get a bit nearer the truth I suppose....but when?

If SISU have won the right to the review, does this mean there is something in it?

The only truth we want is what happened in ccfc ltd and holdings.

The law is an ass on both these issues for different reasons.

Thanks Niki glad you are pleased that us Coventry fans now have wait another season without our football team.

With no side agreeing a rent deal and not a brick getting laid for a new stadium. Whilst SISU and the council try to not blink first. .

What do you think?

Months and months. Only winners are the lawyers.

No return this season, no stadium plans ............ hopeless situation.

Things could not get any worse.

If it finds the money has been used improperly to the detriment of CCFC, what would the prevailing view be?

To be honest I feel like giving up. It's not easy to walk away from supporting your team but this just feels like a slow lingering death. Nothing to do with being a City supporter is enjoyable anymore. We're now faced with months / years of the JR dragging on. There's no sign of the team leaving Sixfields and returning anywhere vauguely close to the local area. Maybe it's time to move on.

I am actually outstanded that they won the appeal solely on how dismissable the case seemed to be in the first case. :O

It should have been allowed in the first place rather than wasting another several months. Why not allow it? It will finally end it one way or another.

Even if Sisu win the case it doesn't mean the club are coming back. The only thing that's ending is our chances of coming back.

I've moved on. Been once this season (Walsall) having been a regular or ST holder for decades, but the decision to not support the sisu stance and go to Northampton was a difficult decision made easy.
For the sake of being principled and not being taken for a complete mug, I can live without seeing my team, it's only football.

I'm aware of that. (bolded part)

We can't say for sure it's ending our chances of coming back though.

My experience of JR's in the industry I work is that they last approx a year. I know that's an estimation, but lets just say its more than likely it will drag in into next season at least

I know what you are saying however,
I would say to the contrary.

There should be a threshold test when an appeal is allowed.

The first judge was so damning. Without disclosure of any new info an appeal should not be allowed.

The question is how the heck can one judge be so damning and another go yeah go on then.

Our legal system really does need to try and get some consistency.

Irelevant - the club strategically needs to own the leasehold as a minimum or it has no future

If they need the leasehold why didn't they buy at least half of it when they had the chance. I think I'm right in saying that they only started negotiations with the Higgs after starting the rent boycott which is idiotic if true. That's a really clever way of getting what you want quickly and with no problems, must try that myself. So the plan is you piss off both owners of the lease you want to buy, where either can block the sale of the others shares and then start negotiating with one party for their shares. Absolutely brilliant, can anyone tell me is this a brand new form of negotiating tactics or just normal business practice?

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but seriously what were they thinking if they were thinking at all?

Any chance you could hurry up and leave the forums quietly? Oh and shut the door on the way out cos your letting in a draught.

As for the rest.... Can we start talking about football again??

But they will not start the new stadium until this is sorted. They have the excuse they are looking for not to actually do anything.
They will not settle until they get the Ricoh for nothing as Seppalla has already said. This is personal for them.

I don't want to be part of this. The club is finished by this decision.

A lengthy Judicial review, followed by whatever the outcome is, and appeal from the other side.

No - our legal system needs to be one which allows for consideration of the facts, not one that follows the previously made decision because it's more convenient.

Surely as council tax payers, citizens of coventry, and fans of a club that's home ground used to the Ricoh, we and the football club would want to ensure the future and very existence of the arena was secure?
Seems only one group think the opposite, we all know 'why' they have taken this legal route, but seriously, why would they do this.
Italiahorse, I'm with you on this one
