and this is what I'm keeping an eye on because if there's a few more games where we grind out a win like vs. Blues, then Lampard will have fixed an issue that could mean the difference between sneaking top six and pushing for c. 80-85 points.

I'm not sure that the reaction to taking the lead against a newly promoted side at home really proves this team has a stronger mentality than the team who came from behind against Wolves and from 3 0 down in the semi.

I'd say it's better team ability wise.

Understand the point, but it is a slightly different circumstance. We’ve seen many times a team drop in and frustrate us but we seem to be far more penetrative and believe we’ll score.

I'd say it's better team ability wise.

That Wolves performance was superb. Way better than the Semi Final in actual fact.
But you can see the grit in the team over the last 2 games which were tricky. we rarely won games under Robins when we played badly.

Let's ignore Wolves fa cup, Man Utd Wembley fa cup, Luton play off final, Middlesbrough play off semi final away.

How long have you been supporting us? Coventry v Brum was a standard Championship game, derby but no real pressure. We played very well but it was nowhere near groundbreaking or in our best performances.

Yep definitely. Lampard has so far taken us to another level. The difference I notice the most is the fitness of the players. I don’t know if it’s just me but everyone seems sharper and fitter

Lampard certainly said early on that our players were not fit enough. Think that is why in his early games with us we could not sustain a high press for very long and he had to tweak the tactics. Injuries also didn't help at that time.

Think if Robins and Viveash had not fallen out we would have eventually got promoted. Grimes was already on our radar and we had Rudoni and EMC already in the building. Adi I feel was the key, and I believe the Boro upturn is really helped by his presence. Robins at Stoke has a better coaching staff than when he left us. He needs that to be good. Stoke I feel will fall away unless they buy really well in January. Our season I fear, depends totally on injuries and suspensions, unless we do some awesome business in January.

Think it was just a cycle that had come to an end. As much as anything else things have just been freshened up. The back room staff are definitely better. There were certainly some odd appointments post Viveash.
