Jores Okore, is refusing to play for the first team at Villa, it got me thinking, whether a club can therefore refuse to pay the players contract? Does anyone know?

If they refuse to play, surely it is them breaking the contract and can be sacked for gross misconduct?

It's like me refusing to go to work.

But this is football a different world, he has a value in the transfer market so they will probably try to sell him.

That's what i thought? He isn't going to be worth much, he isn't a proven talent, and if that is his attitude then his value will drop further surely? So why not terminate his contract, if it's a breach of contract on his part wouldn't it be for no or little cost?
