ill let AT decide,i wasnt that impressed with what ive seen of murphy but he didnt have the greatest defence in front of him i guess

Either! Isn't Lonergan widely expected to sign for Everton? Neither are in Westie's class but both are more than good enough to do a job at this level. I'd probably go for Lonergan out the two though simply because he's younger.

He was their westwood. Even though the players infront of him wern't the best defenders, he still single handedly saved them a few points

Personally I'd rather us go for Cammy Bell, but out of those 2 (Lonergan or Murphy) it would be Murphy.

Murphy, good player and at both home and away against scunthorpe, he had some grey banter with the fans, sign him up andy!

who's Cammy Bell? Any relation to David?!

Cammy Bell is a Scottish keeper at Kilmarnock. He's only 24 so is younger than Westwood and a lot younger than Murphy and is tipped to go on to big things. Currently yet to sign a new deal with Kilmarnock and we were linked with him a lot a couple of months ago on a free. Also has an International cap to his name.

Murphy for me. Id say they are both as good as eachother , but for free, saves some money to hopefully go towards a new striker

Chief Commentator!
Ive rated Lonergan for many seasons, and would love to see him in a Cov shirt. Lost his place last season to Turner, and its gone quiet with the Everton link (although i dont exactly follow Preston too close but his earlier links were in national news rather than just local).

Ive said before, i dont particularly rate Murphy very high, although i wudnt mind if he ended up our keeper. I just think at 29, only ever played in below par teams, hes not what we're looking for.
