I was surprised to see Joe Elliott at the open day at the Ricoh today. I thought he was not involved at city at the moment due to his alligience in the takeover.

Did anyone speak to him and ask him what the situation is?

It wasn't SISU who orchestrated the opening of the statue.

When i went up yesturday i actually saw Joe Elliott with a breifcase looking at the JH statue, looked like he was going in for a meeting, but it could of just been to sort the final details out for today.

SISU/the board were conspicuous by their absence today - there was an undercurrent of boos when Dulieu's name was mentioned during the unveiling ceremony. I thought Joe Elliott spoke very well and with a genuine passion for the history of our great club and the Jimmy Hill era in particular. Great to see George Curtis, John Sillett, Bobby Gould and the other Hill-era players there with JH. The statue is a fitting tribute to a great man.

I think Richard Keogh's team won, although the marking/scoring was a bit dodgy! Can't remember all of the team but I think it included Sheffers, Hussey and Freddy.

Erm... They were there at the unveiling... Delieu was having photos with Jimmy Hill.

For some reason Joe kept calling him Ken Dooley. Is this how it should be pronounced or is he trying to wind him up?

Couldn't see all the bodies where I was stood, to be honest.

I was there yesterday and at one point i overheard Elliot say to someone " they may kick me out of the board room but I won't let them kick me out the stands"

Joe Elliot was on talksport before the statue unveiling, he was obviously very involved and Micky Quinn was giving him a lot of support regarding Joe's position with the club.
