I always said he was a cut above the other forwards we had. Robins just can’t play to the strengths of players they have to fit his way or else. He hasn’t sorted himself out it’s a failure of man management
I’ve said it more than once. Jch stays we don’t go up. Fair play to him this year their chairman will band the £5m about and we could have done with anyone and especially someone on his form this year

We just seem to have a real blind spot in attacking movement, and have done really since that L2 season. Very rarely committed numbers forward last season and just got lucky (of sorts) on occasions when our finishing was particularly good. The wing backs are a great example of this as they should be flying and providing attacking width but too often are behind play - maybe for fear of getting on the turn and beaten defensively if they overcommit.

Why would you want to down play what was achieved last season. We proved we were the best team in that league. I am struggling to think of any lucky goals we scored. Look back at last season, most of our goals were things of beauty.

Irrespective of Glender’s view. Biamou was much better for us in the l2 promotion season . Neither are championship strikers.

Much better is a massive stretch ...he scored a couple of crucial goals in the playoffs , but during the actual season he was a waste of space ...much like JCH

JCH is now excelling ...Max is still Shit

JCH was at Rotherham when he was in his late teens to early 20s .

What has that got to do with it? Those games and goals are both their Cov City stats.

Does anyone know how many times Biamou has hit the woodwork this season? He's been pretty unlucky in that regard. Could have a much higher, decent, goal tally if half of those went in.

£5m is a ludicrous suggestion though isn't it.

why is missing the target unlucky?
what he is good at is getting into the position to be able to miss
Have a look at how many times our other strikers have got into the position in the 1st place
I am not sure if he has knocked your missus off or something, but get over it

Not really given his goal per game record since he left us

But he's league 1 level. Given your opinion on the valuation of players here saying players aren't worth that much despite playing in the Championship, which is a different class entirely.

Depends on the context of the deal and how it's broken down.

For instance, Jack Marriot was sold for £3m rising to £5m a few years ago. Given that the home market is likely to be even more inflated now it's more difficult for clubs to bring players in from Europe, I'd wager the agreed fee wouldn't be far off MacAnthony's figure - even with clubs being completely broke at present. Any deal would likely have to include a fair amount of add-ons though if that's his asking price.

He is awful at getting into position he’s got no striker instinct at all.

How would he knock anyone off. He can’t score he misses every time

Toney was league 1 level

5 million for a League one striker is who, although has had a couple of good seasons is pretty way off the mark. He hasn't exactly got a great stat history at prevous clubs.

Toney was hardly prolific until Peterborough was he? One in 5 at Northampton

Peterborough has previously sold Marriott, Gayle and Assombalonga for around that figure - give or take. It's no secret that MacAnthony is an excellent negotiator when selling his players as well and has a knack for securing great deals.

In all fairness to Grendel it's not way off the mark at all.

Peterborough would easily fetch 5 million for him in my opinion. He’s had two very good seasons now

Just found this that states its been 6 times this season.
Maxime Biamou Stats | Player Stats

Never heard of that site & suspect the way they track isn't the same (and possibly not as thorough with verification) as the well known stats providers.

For example he didn't hit the post v Huddersfield, it was off the defender. The 1 v Rotherham was actually saved onto the post by the keeper so should simply be counted as a Shot on Target. Don't recall him hitting woodwork a 2nd time v Luton unless it's including when he hit our own post!??
