They, sensibly, funded a stadium rather than buying anything that moved just because they had a shit load of cash. Like King did.

Personally I think the club assumed/gambled that Gyokeres and Hamer would move but that is just me speculating.

Yeah TBF I might have looked into loaning him out the instant Bassette came in. They might have done for all I know though. I actually think he is better than most make out and might have had his moments in the run in were we playing for anything but respect your view and agree the squad has no balance.

I think it is clear (despite what DK might have said) that we must have been looking for a midfielder in addition to what we had. Robins certainly gave that impression and we were linked with (at least) two. Sometimes things just don't work out.
Would be madness to let any of our CBs go without bringing in at least another one ourselves.
