Your 2 incomings are likely to cost more than those outgoings, in terms of fees and wages. Not happening - plus Max has done well when called upon, and is the player most capable of filling Godden's role, if he's out at all.

He's the player most capable because he's the ONLY option. Let's bring someone new in, they dont have to cost the earth (eg Colby Bishop)
We can also offload Brown, Kastaneer and possibly Ponticelli.

If Dabo gets injured the whole system unravels as I don't suppose Pask (a CB who Robins said could cover RB) could do the RWB job.

With 2 players on loan there I imagine we have been looking at Josh March the Leamington striker who’s scored 16 in the league

He’s a centre half who can cover at right back if we are desperate. He is certainly not a rwb.

I swear if the members of this forum ran our transfer policy every window would be nothing but strikers in and strikers out.

Bez Lubala from Crawley would seem to fit the bill as attacking midfield player/ forward who can score. Seems to be attracting attention from championship teams so possibly out of our budget

The Transfer JCH from Bristol will bring us £100K+ to keep the wolves away from the door methinks! Could be more if some chump championship club pays 2 Million that they want for him.

Why? Since he’s joined Bristol Rovers he has 22 goals in 36 games

Kayden Jackson went to Ipswich for £1.6m after 16 in 44 at L2 level

We got £1.5m for McNulty iirc? Who scored at L2 level

Bright. Get him playing in Westbrooke's spot behind Godden.

Not a huge fan of Shipley, had a good game at Wycombe, super flick for Goddens third and a squad player. Much prefer Westbrooke.

I think some need to forget the love in for Bright. He aint coming back, messed MR about and strung the fans a long on social media. Clearly not impressed at Wigan possible attitude issues so as good as he was when here why risk it and upsetting the team

Not too worried if Wilson goes because Marosi is keeping him out of the team.

Fuck Bright. Wouldn't work in this system as nowhere near hard working as Allen Westbrooke or Shipley. He was given license last season to do as he pleased yet ultimately we weren't any more successful. I don't think we need to make any signings in Jan bar extending Walsh unless we lose players

Do you not feel there’s been times when we needed to put some pace up front though? Against Wycombe there were four or five breaks that broke down because we had no one who could open up their legs and run into the space.

Traditionally that’s a winger, though they’d be playing a different role. We aren’t likely to find a player who slots in exactly with the attributes needed IMO.

His loan was only to January I think? And he might have gone back already as he hasn’t been in the last 5 squads

We've meant to have submitted a bid for Eastleigh centre half Rob Atkinson, sounds from their end that he's off.

I think we should be looking at an experienced back-up centre-half tbh. We play 3 at the back, but if one of them gets injured we either have to change formation or play a rookie (Williams, Drysdale or Pask). If two of them get injured, then we're in trouble.

Pask isnt really a rookie. Had a season at gillingham before us

Robins has come out this week and said he doesn’t think he’ll do anything in this window now unless people move out.
Due to the squad we’ve got, players coming back from injury and due to less income from ground sharing we can’t just go out and spend

Jan is a long month so things can change on the transfer front. An injury to a key player may rethink plans. I still think there will be some movement though.

we dont need wingers for this formation, we have kastaneer and jones and neither of them are being used in shipley or westbrookes roles so MR wouldnt need a new winger to sit on bench

JJ could possibly do it but like o hare he would be light in the tackle, o hare at least tries whereas i just dont see that tenacity in jones, he will prob have to play as a second striker or play wing when we are desperately chasing a game

we need to retain walsh. bar that no glaring problem in squad, pask should be back on bench soon too

Really? You’re using the fact we aren’t starting the massively unfit and unimpressive Kastaneer and a guy coming back from an ACL who hasn’t even started a reserve game as evidence we don’t need some pace going forward?

It’s not about the starting lineup with our current formation. It’s about options available in the squad. Looking as a whole, I think we lack pace and that’s useful in a lot of game scenarios.

no i am using 2 wingers in squad that are not playing in AMC roles as reason why we shouldnt sign a new winger to play as an attacking midfielder

why dont you just say you want a pacey midfielder? pace isnt exclusive to wingers

Sounds like for a 2nd season running the owners have asked him not to go for promotion

I am sure MR is being asked to offload - in reality JJ could do with some action - league 2 Loan ? Kasteneer should be in the first train out - we have strikers ! We need cover for key people
