Hopefully we’re lining up a Vik replacement. As much as we would undoubtedly be better off keeping him, if someone offers £20m, he’s only an injury away from that going up in smoke.

I think we have to wait and see what transpires over the Mike Ashley saga first. I know it's not been said he is intrested in CCFC but then why would it? I do think that will be his end game - stadium and club. If that materialises then expect a completely different outlook come January and a promotion push. Vik may well get his prem wish with us.
Plenty of dead wood to move out though. There is also the likelyhood that plenty of squad players won't see the light of day in the prem if we are promoted. Only the likes of O'hare, Vik, Hamer, Shaef would survive the cull.

If King is true to his word do we go for young inexperienced players who can be good but then you can have what happened with the young lad from Crystal Palace and possibly a defence of Doyle, Panzo and another youngster like Lembikisa would be very risky when going for the top slots

If it wasn’t for Brexit Robins would have signed Rente for RCB to replace Hyam so I’d expect a more experienced player in anyway.

I could be way off but I'm sure I read a piece saying it's not really about brexit, the powers that be could ultimately still make it easier to sign overseas players but they don't want to. Its easier to get a move to Scotland from I can gather.

Yeah they could, but they chose not to. They didn’t have a choice before.

From the rumours I’m not sure Kastaneer and Hilßner count as “cheap labour”

Be interesting to hear MR talk about any talks he has had with King. He doesn't tend to give anything away but if he has flexibility in the market i think we will know.

And im sure MR would of asked to talk as any change in budget obviously changes the targets.

Chelsea seem to really rate 18 year old left back Lewis Hall, made an appearance in the last two matches.

Worth using Viveash’s connections and do what we did with Maatsen? We need a backup for Bidwell and to rotate so he don’t get burnt out.

You going to explain your negative blunt comment?

See below link tosser.

Lewis Hall's highlights against Man City are special, he's the biggest Chelsea academy talent in years

18-year-old Lewis Hall churned in a special performance for Chelsea against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup.
www.sportbible.com

P.S, can also play centre mid or centre back so that covers two more positions

I feel we need more cover in central defence, especially on the right than left wing back, but he does look a good prospect and would have the option of Bidwell moving into the centre of defence.

1. If he's played in Chelsea's first team he'll stay there
2. If they wanted to loan him out they'd want him playing every week
3. Bidwell has been our most consistent player this season and is part of a now rock solid defence
4. Bidwell has been ever present for seasons playing his position, he does not need to be rested

Don’t think we need a LWB TBH, I’d be happy for Panzo to fill in if needed or Burroughs. I’d like a RWB but if Dabo comes back and Eccles keeps improving it’s not as vital. RCB and a GK for me. And ideally backup for Vik before he gets sold.

Surely he only played because Chilwell was injured. Not sure how long he is out but they also have Cucurella.

1. He played cause Chilwell was injured
2. He’s played one league game and one cup game
3. Last season we had Maatsen while Chelsea had one left back and didn’t even recall Maatsen
4. We have games thick and fast, we can’t expect Bidwell to play every minute of every game, he will burn out or get injured. Every player needs a rest
5. He’s 18, they aren’t expecting him to play every minute of every game, Chelsea ALWAYS loan out players without such expectations
6. He’d add cover in LWB, DM, CM
7. Chelsea loan people out all the time and of course he’d get some game time and learn from the experience

Feels a bit odd that you don't think a LWB is needed when after Bidwell we've got people playing out of position, but we do need a RWB when we've got two first team ones currently on the books and a youngster filling in admirably, albeit one is injured and the other out of favour.

I think Bidwell is good enough, I’m not sure about Dabo. Kane has no future here seemingly and I’d expect him to go in Jan if we can find someone to take him.

If we’ve got the funds to have 22 Championship quality players then sure we need a LWB as well as a GK, RCB, CB, RWB, two CMs, an AM and a ST. But I’m assuming we’re only looking at the first XI.

It looks as though he is a box to box midfielder who has been played out of position in a number of roles to do a job just like Eccles has.

A talented box-to-box player who has featured as a left-back, left wing-back, a central midfielder and a winger, Hall's ability to play in a multitude of positions made him an important player for both Ed Brand and Andy Myers in the 2021/22 season.

If we are brining in a LWB I would rather bring in a specialist rather than a slightly rounded peg in a squarish hole, however talented he may be.

We’re edging closer and closer now, one player who I’d forgotten about that I think would be a good pickup if we have Doug King money would be Cody Drameh
