To be playing games. I still have the fight to get back into the team, and will continue to work hard to do this.

Ha,

So, the CT print a story saying we "SHOULD" be able to get some money for him,

And you think we will get more than 50k?

If we sell him I will put a fiver on the line that we get more than £50k.

Its true he has, what is going on, another SISU move? Sad AT is drawn into the propaganda.

Sounds to me like a player who had a sit down with the manager and told him his issues (not playing and family would like to go back to Scotland). That sort of conversation if it was should have stayed between the two of them.

You would have to take McPakes word for it that no transfer request had been made, but I would guess he knows that Scottish clubs are interested and has said he would be interested in that too. I know it is an honest answer from AT, and i agree with the principles in it but sometimes for the spirit of the whole squad & fans he is better to say nothing - think this was one such time

Will the bumbling at the club never stop ?! Do the CT enjoy creating little dramas at CCFC?

The other interpretation you can put on it is that the club realise they can get money for him & decided to cash in so gave the "McPake wants to go" story to the paper. Can't believe AT is that ham fisted in what he says to the paper, I figure McPake is a pawn in a deal they've got set up.

At least nobody jumped to any conclusions based on a newspaper story that has previous when it comes to inaccurate lazy journalism ...

CT are directly quoting AT, they've spoken on this issue.

I rate McPake, and when fit he has played well for us. I do wonder whether he will ever be the same player though mentally after breaking his back.

On the transfer request front, I am begining to wonder if Thorn has sold him short. Thorn seems to have a vindictive side to him with players he isnt that keen on, and this could be the case again. I just dont trust Thorn, a scout playing at being manager.

(Cue outraged Thorn fans)

He only signed a contract only a few months ago, I'd get rid just down to the injury proneness of him, yet another player who won't be missed.

Asking for a move and handing in a transfer request is 2 completely different things.

He has asked AT for a move.
A transfer request involves a player putting it in writing and losing his percentage cut in any transfer fee.

Exactly. There is a big difference between physically handing in a written request and saying to the boss that he would like a move back to Scotland if the opportunity arises.

So him wanting to leave means somebody might want him for money and if he leaves it is his fault?

Sounds like king all over again! Would love to have a chat with eastwood to see his side of it..

Do any of the players want to actually play for Thorn? That is 3 1st team players this season now who have had issues with Thorn, no wonder we have to play the academy players all the time.

Three Premier clubs north of the border – Hearts, Hibs and Dunfermline – are understood to have expressed an interest in the 27-year-old centre-back

Andy Driver swap deal anyone?

Sounds more like he just wants to play football. If there are teams nearer his home offering him that I can't blame him for being interested.

hmmm, so Driver hands in a transfer request !

His options are Rangers, Celtic, the championship, OR a team soon to be League One....

How can we miss out on this guy, when fit, he will be a real asset to us in that division

Thorn’s great man management skills at their best again i see...

Like i said in weeks gone by, many of senior players have little respect for him.

surely thorn has to go after another transfer shambles, so mcpake on twitter said he hasnt handed in a transfer request, yet the telegraph quote thorn as saying he has, another comical scenario, personally i think thorn has realised what a massive cock up he made wasting his limited funds on a new contract for a player that will hardly play, another contract we are tied to and is now forcing him out, yet mcpake sitting on his new 3 yr deal is in control. wasnt it thorn who told us king was definately staying and then blamed the player, thorn is a sisu man and i dont trust or rate the man one bit, mad

No where in the Cov Telegraph article does it say put in or handed in a "transfer request". Just says he has talked to AT about the possibility of moving.

Cov Mad says he has put in a transfer request.

As a transfer request is a formal written document asking for a transfer out of the club - it makes a difference.

If you'd read Richard Keoghs article in last /or the saturday befores telegraph ,you would be in no doubt about the teams loyalty towards the manager.

But why would Thorn make a 'private' conversation public?

Something women do a lot in my experience.

Can be having a quiet, private conversation with a lady in a pub when she'll loudly shout to all the room "You want to do what, you filthy, perverted bastard"

Breach of confidence and height of bad manners in my book that.

I doubt he would have said it front of other players. If two people have a conversation then usually its private eh.

I doubt at the end McPake said by the way Andy, make sure you tell the telegraph.

much as i love Mcpakes never say die attitude and style ,and him having suffered two serious injuries whil'st wearing the SKY BLUE,where i'm sure he's been lambasted as a crock who's not worthy of any new contract ,if i trawled the threads ,would ifind consistancy over him,or an axe to grind over the manager,a manager who's just got three of the best consecutive performances from the team ,a team described as having no battle or fight, who have shown that its there, who has been told to wheel and deal.As has been oft stated its goals for ,not against that is a problem with the team ,so if this helps bring in a Driver type of player with pace we have lacked all season ,then i'm afraid needs must ,personal feelings aside ,if Mcpake has itterated this to AT,but wants his signing on fee ,personally its no problem for me ,but i do get the other side of the argument.

I know what your saying mate but look at Eastwood. We have been short up front all season but Thorn wont bring him back in. Thats a waste of 8k a week wages. Im not a fan of Eastwood but would like to see Thorn say come on Freddy, lets put the past behind us and get us goals. If then he don't make the effort leave him to dry but id give him another chance.
