It’s madness the number of players allowed on loan should be limited to a dozen or so but who’s to blame club or player. Would be interesting to know what their wage is compared to a decent championship player. I remember an article a year or so back where a Chelsea player in his early twenties who had never played a senior match had bought a house for over a million quid.

similar to an ex Chelsea player we had who has dropped down the football pyramid.

we all would if we could, but again never played for Chelsea and can do this.

I think that was what reported yes, you can’t blame these players for sitting on the contracts as long as they can. Apart from the top ones they will fall to club like ours or lower on modest wages

They put Reece Oxford on £20k per week after he made the first team
It went to his head and completely ruined him really
I think would do for any of us to getting that at 17 before learning the value of money

He is training with the 23s now, presumably to help keep him fit ahead of wherever he goes next

Baker will be 27 by the time his Chelsea contract expires, playing 3 minutes in a FA Cup tie against Derby in 2014, it’s concerning how stuff like that is even allowed to happen. You can’t blame the player but who keeps giving him contracts?

Shouldve made more of an impact in those 3 minutes.

I think it probably is, it's a very different transfer window and people need to stop moaning about our dealings so far.

I’m hopeful that’s the case. Also Chelsea have no reason to push this discussion. It might be a priority for us it won’t be for them
