Just goes to show he’s hoping on a fluke promotion he won’t properly back the team

It’s sad but Fans will still chant his name
He did back the team with cash he signed that winger for 4 million, but why not spend that on a striker ? I hope when supporters get the chance to ask Doug questions they will ask him why they spent 4 million on someone for the future, but nothing on a striker to win promotion, there’s no way he can answer that question and make it make sense.

Why would you sign another striker when we've got 3 of them in double figures? We have stopped creating chances.

I mean we do have 3 strikers on 10 goals... It's not usual for them to all have gone shite all of a sudden. Not sure why we won't give Simms a proper run he deserves it.

Can't see why we are rounding on a Markelo who hasn't even set foot on the turf yet, atleast give him the usual 5mins before writing him off🙄

We are in horrible form all round, today was very frustrating but have we ever been good against teams that sit everyone back.

I don’t think it’s going after Markelo as a player. It’s the signing itself. The money could’ve been spent on instant impact, when we were desperately in need of a boost. Gamble and go for what’s right in front of you.

He might be well worth what we paid for him though. Let's see. He was clearly a data signing and I very much doubt the initial money was anywhere near what was quoted in the press.

Where would you have spent the money? Strikers are not cheap and wages would have been huge for anyone that could make an impact.

DM was crucial and I'd have liked a new Left back personally but I don't think the squad is the issue it's belief, form and some odd selection decisions.

It's a weird one

Am only guessing here, but is it possible that we got him and were surprised at how unfit he was when he arrived?

Still be poor management, but you do wonder why we got him if he isn't fit to play any part this season.

Am guessing that we think he is good enough for the Premier? Because uf not, what was the point in buying him? 🤷🏻‍♂️

wages aside, that kind of money could’ve brought Hamer back, and he’s what we’re crying out for at the minute

Onyeka, Grimes, Hamer, Torp, Rudoni…. decent that

I don't think Sheff U would have let him go, it was just wishful thinking.

I just can't put my finger on why when a player loses his place to injury or illness they just can't find form again. We have been very unlucky with this so far. Rudi and Wright have been shadows of their pre injury selves. BTA gets a ban as soon as he's back. So annoying.

It's this...

We spent £250k on George Boateng & he went straight in... and gave energy (and a red card at the Boleyn boxing day) and direcrtion from nowhere...

This team needs a kick up the arse... and I thought that would be Oneyka.

To play the same was grim.

Simms had a run and was scoring goals while wright was out and when wright was fit Lampard dropped Simms who was scoring goals for wright who has struggled ever since , not a good move by Frank and we are still paying for it.
