The O’hare debate is strange & a bit outdated now , as we all bemoaned the missing factor with O’hare …… goals !!!!
Jack Rudoni has come along & as Lampard says “ just listens & asks questions
Taking in the info & giving us a football exhibition like today …… worth the admission on his own !
Superb Jack & another ccfc Wembley appearance beckons , to show off your skills to the footballing world

The way he manipulates the ball at his feet in tight spaces seems to keep getting better everything I watch him recently.

Seems odd making the comment because he’s got like 12 assists, but if he just adds that ruthless decisiveness to his game where he plays the right ball more often than not when running at a back line he’ll be premier league

It is, we didn't necessarily need an exact replica of O'Hare though.

Rudoni as is now is almost exactly what I want from a 10, just missing shooting from range. He arrives late in the box, good across the front line, lots of assists. O’Hare was a unique AM, more about all round contribution and almost being another DM on the side but always lacking a bit in final product (until the transfer window).

I just put this on twitter. Might just as well elaborate it and stick it here. He has the most unbelievably fast feet (although JDS ran him close a couple of times yesterday) and those corners have the shape of the perfect 7 iron, hanging before dropping right in the danger zone

I don't remember Robins giving him free reign to go from side to side as he is doing now. May be wrong about that. Experts on here may say 433 enables that

We should also remember that for a good part of his time here O'Hare couldn't hit a barn door let alone the goal and contrived to miss loads of chances. You can never say that about rudoni

it's more of 4-2-3-1 which Grimes and Sheaf deeper - it's a similar shape to the Robins era team but Rudi has more of a freer role rather than the get as close to the stroker role he had before.

it’s such a strange comparison for me as they are completely different players
If anything a closer comparison would be O'Hare and DaSilva, both have got quick feet and link play albeit in different areas of the pitch.

Robins didn't have a clue how to use him

Also who was it who said Rudoni was a bad apple in the camp

He grew up as a Chelsea fan, he must love working with Super Frank. I imagine if Lampard was to move on to 'better' things that he'd try and take Rudi with him. Great player.

I don’t get the hate for O’Hare. Really don’t, him and Rudoni are two separate players

O’Hare was a great player for us, and would have made us even better had he been here a midfield with him and Rudoni, would have been class
Should be no hate for o hare or hamer.

I'm glad we have rudoni and it makes it easier to move on from those two.

There was a moment in the 1st half when the ball was behind him on the touch line (near me in block 1) and he manipulated it and dribbled between 3/4 players towards the 18 yard box.

That was the moment which confirmed to me that he’s Prem class now. Unbelievable ball control. £20m must be the min if anyone comes sniffing. Outstanding.

I believe that Rudoni is the player to have benefited most from the change of managerial and coaching team. He was good when he arrived but has improved considerably in all aspects of midfield play. His awareness and distribution is excellent for this level as well as his set piece delivery and adding goals into the mix. He's a very good player now but has the potential to play at the very top level.

It’s crazy to think that last time we played Boro, Rudoni was at left back.

There‘s a bit in one of Lampard’s interviews after the game where we talks about how the two of them stayed late on Thursday to work on cutbacks into the box, and here he is scoring one in the match. I really like their father/son dynamic.

Looks like an 8 figure player easily these days. Was drifting in and out of games at the start of the season and is bossing them for entire halves now. Ridiculous goal contributions as well. Well be lucky to have him next year if he finishes the season like this.
At start of season he was played on left wing by Robins.

Lampards changed that
