nervous about the rumours too, if we get a £15m bid for him from a prem side, hes gone, and and so are our playoff hopes.

Everton and Newcastle both hoping to get him for around 12-15 million.
Cheers Rudi
All the best.

Two and a half Aston Villa reserves for Rudi… #TheModel

A Newcastle journo with 80k followers posted an article yesterday which included the following line:

With work going on on the first two positions – it is understood further checks have been carried out on Coventry City’s Jack Rudoni as a possible Sean Longstaff replacement

Sorry just seen it was posted in the transfer thread yesterday

Rudoni isn’t going yet. If he does then it’s £25-30M and we have a replacement lined up but it would dent morale for the whole club with the timing of it. Just can’t see it.

I think he’ll move on in the summer but right now he is playing, loved, we have a decent chance of going up and he loves Lamps. I think this is more about whether the club accept the bid and help facilitate the move. Can’t see it yet.

Jack Rosser is a football reporter for The Sun.
20k followers, so not some rando.
Ridiculously low bid from another Championship team (he's better than that), but let's hope it doesn't bring larger fish to the pond.

Agreed although if Isak goes for the cash being muted (£120m+) and Newcastle are genuinely interested I could see them paying over the odds as they’ll be desperate to get some decent new faces in.
no, they'll spunk that on a striker

Be interested to see what the club would actually consider accepting.
Wonder if they'd be tempted with £20 million
he's by far our best player and has a while left on his deal

got to 20 to 25m, which i'm not saying is his value as a player but the amount that we may think "ok" that's worth our while

Yeah agree.
Doesn't sound like we're desperate for cash atm if current transfer rumours are true, and maybe we'd hold out for extra if it's to a Championship rival

definitely where we need to hold out for in terms of a fee, huge whack of it upfront and some tasty add-ons as well !!

If serious we should be asking for £30 million plus from them, given how important he is to the squad this season and how little time there’d be to replace him.

I agree with this But…. I understand our model is also promising prospective players we are trying to sign that we would not stand in their way if a top/ premiership team came knocking. For us to show this is more than just words we probably have to walk this walk too even if it is unpopular with some fans.

We just need to trust Doug will get the best fee possible if this happens.

I imagine this promise to prospective players makes us pretty attractive and may be how we managed to get some of our better players.
