We have made 2 bids, both rejected, thats come from the Hull side. Clearly we are in for him.And they’re quite justified for doing that. Though I still don’t believe we’re seriously in for this bloke.
We need another season from Rudoni. He's pivotal to our team and our chances of getting promoted.
It’s just the amounts we’ve apparently offered, there’s no way we’re spending that much on a CB.We have made 2 bids, both rejected, thats come from the Hull side. Clearly we are in for him.
He won't be going at that price Southampton have turned down bids of £27 & £35 million for TD. Southampton had a bid rejected by the club for Rudoni. He has another 3 years on his contract to let him go for anything less than £25 million plus add ons would be giving him away. That seems low considering his age and contract left.
Plus aren’t Everton signing drewsbury hall
I agree with this But…. I understand our model is also promising prospective players we are trying to sign that we would not stand in their way if a top/ premiership team came knocking. For us to show this is more than just words we probably have to walk this walk too even if it is unpopular with some fans.
We just need to trust Doug will get the best fee possible if this happens.
I imagine this promise to prospective players makes us pretty attractive and may be how we managed to get some of our better players.
why not? Clearly there is money there and Lampard has identified that position as one we need to strengthenIt’s just the amounts we’ve apparently offered, there’s no way we’re spending that much on a CB.
Well we have made the bids for him so clearly we are trying toIt’s just the amounts we’ve apparently offered, there’s no way we’re spending that much on a CB.
Where has an 8 figure sum of money come from? I could perhaps see it if all of the Binks, Vik and MVE (yet to be sold) money is put together, but Grimes cost a fair whack too.why not? Clearly there is money there and Lampard has identified that position as one we need to strengthen
well apparently we bid 5.5m for Rushworth, and that was before Binks was sold and Vo=ik joined Arsenal. We aren't shopping in the bargain bins anymoreWhere has an 8 figure sum of money come from? Nobody knows for sure. We could have had new investment for all we truly know. Or some of the previous purchases werent as we were told.Where has an 8 figure sum of money come from? I could perhaps see it if all of the Binks, Vik and MVE (yet to be sold) money is put together, but Grimes cost a fair whack too.
I hope we are. Some big signings would be nice, but bargain bins are named that for a reason.well apparently we bid 5.5m for Rushworth, and that was before Binks was sold and Vo=ik joined Arsenal. We aren't shopping in the bargain bins anymore
Sure, I just don’t see where the cash is coming from.well apparently we bid 5.5m for Rushworth, and that was before Binks was sold and Vo=ik joined Arsenal. We aren't shopping in the bargain bins anymore
He wouldnt make the bids if the moeny wasnt there. So really why are you worried where its coming from?Sure, I just don’t see where the cash is coming from.
You might get a Hamer, or you might get a Hillsner!I hope we are. Some big signings would be nice, but bargain bins are named that for a reason.
But spending high you might get a Salah or you might get a Nunez. Spend doesnt guarantee success relatively to price. You might get a Hamer, or you might get a Hillsner!
More than one set of fans in this league has said the same.He wouldnt make the bids if the moeny wasnt there. So really why are you worried where its coming from?
King has often said and proven he won't overspend. So if we are bidding these sums then clearly the money is available.More than one set of fans in this league has said the same.
Rudoni is the best midfielder outside the Premiership and that’s £30m with 3 years left on his contract.
we will sell one day but unless the offer so good we can't say no it's not this seasonI agree with this But…. I hope you’re right!King has often said and proven he won't overspend. So if we are bidding these sums then clearly the money is available.
he's worth 30m to us, he has a long term contract and we have no need to sellYou saying he’s worth £30m? Or you quoting someone else? I like Rudoni but no way is he worth £30m, yes he’s got a lot of potential but no team should be paying £30m for him, that’s a premier league sorta figure and he’s not proven to be at that level at all yet. I think somewhere around the £17-£20m would be fair tbh.
No need to sell this late in the window, so £30m minimum.Agree but if a massive offer comes in he’s off.
No need to sell this late in the window, so £30m minimum.
You can if he’s the difference between a promotion challenge and mid table.it will be 20m plus. You can’t turn down 20m for a player after 1 year
We also, with all these figures being band around, how much is actually upfront and what is add-ons? I can't believe we would pay £5.5m for a keeper who is no better than Dovin who cost a fraction of that. Or that we will pay £10m for a CB.Sure, I just don’t see where the cash is coming from.
I can certainly accept that those numbers probably represent the total possible value of the package rather than the base fee. It still looks too high relative to what else we've spent, considering we've committed in the region of £7m on Grimes and KKH already. We also, with all these figures being band around, how much is actually upfront and what is add-ons? I’d prefer Ronnie Pickering?£20 million plus Ronnie Edward’s and you’ve got a deal in my mind
Rushworth is very highly rated. To say he is no better than Dovin is just not trueWe also, with all these figures being band around, how much is actually upfront and what is add-ons? Who?I’d prefer Ronnie Pickering?
You know he has played well for us when he didn't get slaughtered for giving a goal away.Rushworth is very highly rated. To say he is no better than Dovin is just not true
