Quite agree.
And at least we can see the latest accounts of ACL and can see the auditor's opinion that it is a going concern even without the football, whereas we have no idea whatsoever of the state off affairs-off the involved SISU companies as not one of them has filed their accounts, not even the one that was in the process off being struck off but was never-the-less the "preferred bidder" chosen by the SISU-appointed administrator.

They showed a profit last year because the creditors showed to be 1.8 million! Remove that because of the administration of CCFC then their books look pretty damn poor if you ask me . They are only allowed to hold more than 6 concerts a year because of the noise abatement laws, do you think they could become a creditable completion for the NEC overnight? Where do they get the money from to develop the stadium and put a roof over it ? No bank will give them anything because of the Yorkshire Bank debacle! Compass are starting to put pressure on them RICOH are putting pressure on them , i am not a SISU supporter far from it but they are damaging ACL quite badly they are despicable people of the 1st order

Not sure I understand - (dont have copy of accounts with me) but if you remove a creditor from the accounts then that would make the results better not worse.

The last ACL accounts to 31/05/12 would have shown money owed by tenants to ACL in debtors but thats all tenants and other sources of income not just CCFC. In any case at that point CCFC were at a maximum of 2 months in arrears (stopped paying end of March i believe) which in any case have been covered by the escrow account.

2013 accounts will include the Olympics income, the costs paid by CCFC and the draw down of the Escrow

2014 accounts will show a loss of income yes but it will also show a reduction in the costs. But that assumes that no other sources of income have been found to replace any loss of CCFC income

Certainly is not the case of a straight reduction of income & profits of 1.8m

Think if you ask the ACL board they do not see themselves as directly competing with the NEC which is a far bigger venue. Size can have advantages but it has downsides too

I do not think ACL are even considering putting a roof on the stadium - far too costly for no great return on investment. So I agree with you

As for bank loans no roof wont need one and in any case their strategy is to reinvest any profits

Compass - I think you will find that the Ricoh is still high up on the list of performance of the sites they operate. CCFC account for less than 10% of ACL income the percentage is even less for Compass derived from CCFC at the Ricoh

What is damaging ACL is the mounting legal costs and inertia caused the dispute. I also think ACL is not far away from enough is enough and saying to SISU "go do the groudshare you took the club away now go live with it we will get on with our business"

Think I agree with your sentiment that it will affect ACL, but the substance is a little wide of the mark in my opinion. But we all see it differently :)

And on balance I would put the majority of the blame at sisu's door. Sisu-90% acl-10%

Agree with that. Strangely I keep remembering a quote from Blackadder:

Baldrick: I have a cunning plan to solve the problem.
Blackadder: Yes Baldrick. Let us not forget you tried to solve the problem of your mother's low ceiling by cutting off her head.

That is what Fisher is doing here. The rent was a small problem, that he and Sisu have completely overreacted to.

Laughable that the Ricoh could compete with the NEC's 11+ large halls. Ricoh access is much poorer, parking much smaller, no rail link. Try running Crufts from the Ricoh, the dogs would die from heat in the cars before you were able to park.

Why would Ricoh be putting pressure on them they couldnt pay for the publicity theyve had isnt that the reason companies want naming rights? The longer this goes on the happier thy will be.
