Really wish I could be there tonight at the Ricoh cheering on the guys instead of listening over Sky Blues player. Love lively in Gibraltar but I honestly feel with Mogga at the helm this year we have a serious chance of promotion. Johnson and Ricketts must be the best CD in the league, and Vincelot and Fleck must be up there as one of the best CM combinations. I Just want to be there to experience some good times as most of my life being a Cov fan hasn't exactly been fruitful! Anyway to all the guys going tonight, have a beer for me and enjoy the game!!

No mate, when i first moved out here i got advised to head there as apparently the owner had a soft spot for cov fans. The mark left on the wall by the sign is all that is there of it im afraid. (also im a massive blues fan, So was gutted when it was gone!!)

That's a shame, the owner was a massive Leicester fan. I never knew it was a Nightclub. Turned up with my mate in Cov tops after the beach and the doorman would not let us in, the owner saw our Cov tops and came over. Told the doorman to let us in and sat with us for a while before telling the bar staff to look after us.
We only wanted a quick drink after the beach and ended up staying till about 3a.m. free drinks all night.
The place was full of women, great place and one of my best memories of the place (apart from family).
Where is good now, thinking about coming over next year with the Mrs, she has never been but loves the pics of the place (showed her loads from National day (family went over for it last year) and then explained to her that it's a British island and they speak English) first thing she said was we are on the wrong island lol.

Get yourself over here mate! I think you were the one who actually told me to go to the Blues Bar initially, as i remember the story!! Ive been here 2 years now and i would say the place to go is Ocean Village, you have the casino, Dusk (night club), Ivy (sports bar), and many other restaurants/drinking holes! If you do head over let me know and ill take you out for a good beer!

Ocean Village, is that the area built on reclaimed land?
Answer me one question please as i have had no confirmed answer.
Is there a KFC in Ocean Village? i love KFC and all the KFC's in GC have been closed down as they were not using offical KFC Chicken and spices.
I know there was one, i have the pics but some people have told me that it closed. Other people tell me it is still there. From the pics it was right on the sea front at Ocean Village, believe me this could be a deal breaker as with my work i never get a holiday (almost 9 years since my last one) but i can get a weeks holiday this year :) but i need a KFC (hot wings make my taste buds melt) lol

Would be great to see the family and keep the Mrs happy, but with no KFC it will be hard to use my one holiday somewhere without one.

How sad is that lol

Ocean Village is indeed built on reclaimed land. No KFC my friend.... BUT, due to the lack of the Colonel's famous chicken many places do offer a variation of his favored recipes. Honestly get out here, there's loads of chicken!!

I remember a Chippy on main street, was on a corner. They used to sell Calamari and Chips YYEREEESSSSSSS CCCCCCOMMMMEEEEEE OOOONNNNN CITY??? 3-2
Got caught out there lol, yeah Calamari and Chips from a Chippy on a corner on main street (you could also get the bits that are left, small bits of batter, bits of chips dead crispy etc, not allowed in England now :( and no propper chip shops here in GC (why do i live here).

I know what you mean about the bits. When i was a kid i remember going to the chippy at closing time and asking for whatever they had left and bits. Maybe a sausage, or whatever, the important thing was the bits!! Those fried pieces of batter is what made it!!

Best bit, loved getting those bits. Not allowed to have them now, illegal as not healthy.
So a Battered Mars bar is lol, bloody health and safety.
Many CCFC shirts in Gib these days, last time i went over quite a few Gibraltarians supported COV and had the shirts. We played a friendly over there and won 3-0 against the national team, still got the poster advertising it (my family nicked me one lol).
That and also if Gibraltarians wanted to move to England they were found jobs in Cov, (80's during the boom time, by the Gib government) thats how my family moved over from Gib to Cov. Dad got a job as a welder at Roots (Eventually Talbot/Peugeot) factory as he was a Navy welder.
