Do you think I’ve never got in trouble with the police because of smoking cannabis?

Or not been caught speeding?

I just accept it’s a fair cop if I do cos I’m not twelve. And if I’d specifically done it in public in front of coppers to try and prove a point I’d deserve exactly zero sympathy.

Great to see supporting proscribed groups seen the same as smoking a bit of weed. Just off to send a cheeky tenner to Al Queda what am I like?

Arresting middle class OAPs for holding signs is a massive waste of police time and resources. They’d be better off going after actual criminals.

Well then blame the middle class OAPs for wasting police resources, not the police - they're just doing their job.

I’m really sure you’d be saying the same thing if it was the Tories in power.
The Starmer sycophants really do have no shame.

They weren't arrested for protesting, they were arrested for supporting a terrorist organisation.

Now whether you think PA is a terrorist organisation or not is an entirely different and valid question.

If I went out tomorrow and held up signs saying ‘I support ethnic cleansing, I stand with the IDF’ nothing would happen, yet they have killed tens of thousands of civilians compared to another group that *checks notes* hasn’t killed anyone.

It's nothing to do with Starmer ffs, you're the one that mentions him more than anyone else on this entire forum.

If people want to go out and support a terrorist organisation they're going to get arrested. Whether you think they should be a terrorist organisation is a different question.

Nobody was arrested for protesting.

Some fucking weird stuff, people pretty much obsessed and brainwashed by this whole thing. Defending people who support a terror group.

Hope you all open your houses to the local ISIS cell.

I don't disagree, but the laws are the laws and if you break them you will be arrested.

Or don't be a weird c**t going out holding up signs and you will be fine. It's that simple.

Comparing some pensioners holding up signs to members of ISIS suggests that’s it’s not others who’ve been brainwashed here.

It's a fucking terror group. Don't hold up signs supporting terror groups, it's that simple.

I'm sure some don't think ISIS do anything wrong either.

I'm sure if it was a Britain First sign you would all change your views sharpish because there's no Palestine flag.

So to be clear, saying you support the genocide isn’t a crime, saying you oppose it now is?

Hardly. You think it's ok to break the law, I don't. You think the police should pardon people committing crimes based on their social status, I don't.

We’ve already had one poster say about anyone who breaks the law should be arrested, yet regularly talks about breaking the law himself on here…yet I don’t see him handing himself into police any time soon for the good of the community.

I look forward to you continuing this position and backing Farage when Starmer hands him the keys to number 10.

They should. I don’t agree with 4/20 in Hyde Park for example. The Police shouldn’t pick and choose which laws they want to enforce. As someone who breaks the law one of the first things I learned was don’t do it in front of the Police if you don’t want to get arrested.

People involved in direct action group also know they will get arrested and in fact plan on it for publicity.

This is like whining about getting caught by a speed camera. Bitch and moan all you like but in your heart of hearts you know it’s a fair cop.

Can't believe we've got to a point where people are saying you should get let off the law just because you're a middle aged OAP or because you don't agree with the law

I'm sure if I go out this afternoon and get pulled for speeding I'll just tell the copper 'I don't agree with this law, go and catch a real criminal instead' he'll just doff his cap and say on your way sir.

I mean more break the law but know what the consequences are if you get caught. That’s the deal yeah. If I walked into Little Park Street and sparked a joint up I wouldn’t expect you lot to turn in in prison in solidarity the next day, I’d expect you to laugh and point.

Every person making a PA banner to take to a protest knows what they are doing.

What annoys me the most is that for a lot of people there’s more outrage about this than for the 10000s of people being killed and genocide taking place, all while the country continues to sell arms to aid what’s going on.

Is there? Because there’s an awful lot of outrage about what’s happening in Gaza. What there isn’t is much actionable things anyone can do. This is all getting very much like a mirror of the “if you don’t hate immigrants you love pedos” stuff.

The purpose of protest is to bring an injustice to public attention. Bit of a non comparable to smoking weed as it's something you'd be trying to conceal.

This government are clearly discomforted by people highlighting a genocide they are complicit in facilitating, hence the fascistic measures taken in outlawing a non violent group.

You can parrot 'breaking the law' as much as you like but you're missing the point and I think you know you are.
