Isn't assuming Israel can be trusted bordering on naive at this point, too? Settlements, Gaza, unilateral attacks of neighbouring countries, ignoring their biggest backer(s), all while sitting on a bunch of nukes with total zealot maniacs pulling the strings behind Netanyahu? I get we're a long from comparing apples vs. apples here but isn't it a bit oversimplistic at this point to make our thinking 'Iran scary, Israel chill'...?

Directly, sure. Not convinced the the amount of sh*t they're starting won't ripple out if we're seen as enabling them. Doesn't mean they'd be responsible for that but also isn't the vibe of a stable ally.
