What I wouldn't have done is committed ethnic cleansing, turned the place into a giant prison and created an ethno state that dehumanises the other group for the best part of a century.

There's a pretty damn good chance none of this happens had Israel made different historical choices.

Sorry this looks fake as hell. Why is there just a random floating blue box with the question that isn’t part of the graphic on the screen? Why is the capitalisation different? The whole thing looks like it was made in Paint. You got a source for that?

Hezbollah blames Israel after deadly pager explosions in Lebanon

Nine people have been killed and 2,800 wounded by the blasts, the Lebanese health ministry says.
www.bbc.co.uk

If this was the other way round, wouldn't it be denounced as a terrorist atrocity?

It is hard to think of an attack more calculated to sow fear and confusion.
Hezbollah relies heavily on pagers for the group’s communications.
Mobile phones have long since been abandoned as simply too vulnerable - as Israel’s assassination of a Hamas bombmaker demonstrated as long ago as 1996.
But today’s attacks were terrifying in their scope.
Hezbollah members were blown up in supermarkets, on the street, in their cars, at home, next to their children.
Incidents were reported from all across Lebanon, from Beirut to the Bekaa Valley. Even from neighbouring Syria.

Pager explosions will devastate Hezbollah's morale and manpower

Tuesday's blasts, which Hezbollah blames on Israel, look calculated to sow fear and confusion.

Some suggestions the hardware might have been provided by Taiwan!
Could have easily been bought off Amazon though!

To be honest I would rather Israel attack in the way that they have (ie targeted Hamas operatives specifically) than random carpet bombing and shelling of civilian areas causing mass civilian casualties.

It does beg the question of how, if Mossad are as good as they look at doing this sort of stuff, did Hamas manage to get thousands of armed fighters across a no go zone without being detected or known about.

Netanyahu has a lot to answer for with it all.

2 children still died though - so far. It’s not necessarily completely tightly targeted. Chalk up yet another war crime.

I understand that and it's not Ideal. But, how many kids have died in the Israeli bombing campaigns since October?

I was watching the Sky coverage and they mentioned how successful the operation was.

Also as far as I am aware there has been no organisation that has admitted responsibility never mind been proven to have carried out.

So they need to be told to fucking stop it then. Except the Yanks won’t.

Let’s hope none of those communication devices have accompanied people to the UK. If one went off in London, that would be an Israeli act of terrorism on British soil.

An interesting question, how would a Terrorist be admitted to the UK with a Hezbollah issued device, and what else could they have brought in?

The question is whether a device purchased by Hezbollah could have been given to someone not involved for some reason. Unlikely, but not impossible.

There’s no guarantee that Hezbollah’s reprisals to Israels reprisals will be on Israeli soil.
I can’t grasp the cheek of Netanyahu claiming the the UK has undermined Israel with the cancellation of arms sales licences or his claims that pending International Court arrest warrants are “preposterous”.

I personally would avoid bringing in any Terrorist issued equipment but I suppose it is possible.
Just like any other IED.

A stroke of absolute genius by the Israelis.

Strikes don't get much more targetted than that - especially compared to the indiscriminate manner in which Hezbollah/Hamas have been firing rockets into Israel for years now.

If indeed it was the Israelis - bearing in mind the sensitivity of some on here to stereotyping and waiting for concrete evidence to emerge.

They could have subbed it out expect to avoid responsibility ,why they'd need to do that I'm not sure, any ideas?
They've been taking out the perceived opposition for years on foreign soil, why keep quiet this time,oh the leader's out of jail and it's going to stay that way!!
