Just put the villa Ipswich game on, players are warming up and there's Ipswich fans stood filming the villa players warming up and one asked for an autograph.

How's that even a thing?

And this is what our fans are so desperate to get to and will go into meltdown if there's any fear we won't get in the play offs.

The Championship and EFL is a more pure, more exciting league/leagues.

I remember, I think it was at AFC Wimbledon away, where a guy was giving a Wimbledon player and linesman dog's abuse for no reason, before the game had even kicked off.

Feel like there could be a happy medium between what you witnessed and what this guy did...

Spot on. We're all hoping for promotion, the promise land, the poison chalice , the land of corruption , where fans are ripped off, where almost every club is a make weight for the top 5 or 6 to cream off the money into the hands of rich corrupt overseas businesses who couldn't care less .
For me the championship is the most exciting league we have. Couldn't care less about the Premiership. Fuck em.

Yes we have only spent 45 million and a record amount of season tickets to aim for mid table obscurity and mediocrity. I blame the fans & Doug King should have called it operation mid table.

We have been dire for a while and the performances this season in the league apart from Oxford and one half against Watford have been poor.

The Chelsea fan base of the 70s and 80s is unrecognisable from today's fanbase. Obviously a lot of that is good in modern society but there is no tribal element to their fan base anymore . Just tourist supporters with their mobiles out anytime a player comes near them from either side

Same with United, Man City and Liverpool. Think I've only ever met one proper United and one proper Liverpool fan in my life.

In a similar vein I had the Birmingham game on the other day and saw them advertising "Delta - Official Airline of BCFC".

A google search tells me Delta don't even offer any flights into Birmingham. In fact they only fly to London and Edinburgh in the UK.

Definitely a totally legit sponsorship deal, I'm sure the execs at Delta were desperate to sponsor a League One club.

Basically the game is gone.

I had a nephew who before his death was a season ticket holder at Man Utd.He lived in Norwich some fan that. His funeral was attended by some fans who even came from Manchester believe it or not.

My condolences. I take it he was originally from Manchester? Some dedication to travel all the way from Norwich 20+ times a season!

There's no UK-USA flights from Birmingham full stop.

If you want to go to America from the Midlands you either have to make a stop somewhere in Europe from Birmingham, or fly directly from London Heathrow. Given that many from the Midlands will go to Heathrow (as it is usually cheaper anyway) the marketing is not that stupid given how many airlines compete to operate those routes.

Delta are also the partner airline of Virgin Atlantic, and you can book your flights/holidays through them.

complete side note but a huge fan of the aerlingus route through dublin recently clearing US customs in dublin and essentially landing as a domestic flight

Here you go mate, I’ve found you a meme to roll out when you encounter this stuff. Use it sparingly.

A couple of blokes I know from Coventry are long term Manchester United season ticket holders,I also know someone from Coventry who has a Celtic season ticket and also a Rangers fan from Coventry who is a season ticket holder.
My next door neighbour is a life long Manchester United fan....I have been to Old Trafford way more times than him 😂.
