There were a couple of Irish fans I saw who'd obviously never been over before, buying a couple of beers and asking if they could take them up to their seats.
I class myself as Irish. Born in Coventry, but my mother and all ancestors come from the city of Cork. Very proud of my Irish roots. I have loads of birth and death certificates dating back to the mid 1800's, all in Gaelic with English translations beneath.
In a roundabout way ??Nothing wrong with heritage and ancestors, but the bottom line is your English.![]()

At least you're not Celtic (football club) Irish or those plastic types, they often seem overly political and oddly anti-British/English whilst being based over here. People should still respect where they're located essentially. I'm sure you do - hopefully.I was born in Coventry with Irish parents so I aleays class myself as Coventry Irish. However in every other way I would class myself as Irish. If your heart is green then there is nothing you can do about it.![]()
