I mean, we had the perfect opportunity in July and August too.....It may fuck over this month, but we have the perfect opportunity in Jan to make sure that doesnt happen.
We did. Lets hope Bling has changed his philosophy on transfers.I mean, we had the perfect opportunity in July and August too.....

Last week you said it was good that Middlesbrough beat derbyGood one hill83, great crack
if he'd tweaked it he would have come off even if we didn't have a sub left, he isn't risking it when we are 3 nil down with minutes leftThat's why I said tweaked. Obviously wasn't a pull, maybe it was just tightness or cramp, but he definitely felt something.
We’ll beat Preston on Tuesday
Let's be honest, Ipswich have largely been utter shite
Nobody does, I still think 5 is too many. 3 ideally.Oddly I'm ok with that display, it didn't feel like a 3 nil loss. They were pretty lucky with decisions. On another day that's a red card and possibly the keeper goes as well.
Also think we might have needed that to hammer home to Doug how thin the squad is when we lose a few at once. Rudi isn't fit yet and KKH isn't a winger. We definitely need some bodies in Jan. Keep banging on about it but I'm baffled some on here want to keep a lean squad. Far too risky. We need cover/competition on both wings. We need another holding midfielder and I would get someone in to cover Dasilva without having to lose any threat down the left.
HandsomelyWe’ll beat Preston on Tuesday
they BBC reports are written by people too talentless to write about cats up trees for their local free paperThe match report on the BBC website says they put in a "superb performance".
I guess the truth lies somewhere in between. They probably deserved to win, although the scoreline flatters them.
Point taken but I still think they will get it together, they're only 5 points off Boro ...nah, they are likely to go and lose away next week
Look at their couple of results before this game
Bare is an understatement, we're a few injuries away from someone on here being called up!If we can beat them at home then nothing is lost.
The squad just looks very bare right now.
We could also only be down BTA on TuesdayBare is an understatement, we're a few injuries away from someone on here being called up!
We were excellent first halfLet's be honest, its a result that has been coming. Weve been way off the pace for weeks. Been behind too many times, and a team with the depth Ipswich have, you cant afford to do that. I dont think at any point today did we look deserving of the win. Rudoni looked Rusty, KKH was a passenger, Grimes, Kitch and Bobby all sloppy in possession at the back. Ive not seen as many sideward and backward passes since Sammy Clingan left. We couldn't break down their formation. In JDS, MVE and KKH we've got 3 of the fastest full backs in the division, yet we didnt once use that as a threat in the counter attack. The play was slowed down and passed backwards in pointless possession along the back line. It was either passed backwards or a hopeful hoof to their defenders heads or their throw in. Eccles was the best player on the pitch for me, so to drag him for the ever negative, ever passive Allen when the ball was already being passed backwards was a strange one.
That said, 3-0 massively flatters to deceive, as much as we were bad, Ipswich weren't actually that good either. Not 3-0 good.
We can moan about yet another referee bottling yet another big decision, and down to 10 men at 0-0, it could well have been a completely different game. But we cant blame the officials for how poor we were to a man today. And have been for a fair few weeks now.

xG <0.5I just don't understand what position KKH was playing rly.
Hopefully saka is back soon and we can play with familiarity again. Torp too as Allen and Andrew's were never gonna get us back into it imo
We did have chances today though and imagine our xg was good. Their keeper played very well
We go again
Hmm, I disagree with you in part re: not looking deserve of a win at any point. I thought we were the more threatening side in the first half and unlucky not to be leading, let alone behind, at the break.Let's be honest, its a result that has been coming. Weve been way off the pace for weeks. Been behind too many times, and a team with the depth Ipswich have, you cant afford to do that. I dont think at any point today did we look deserving of the win. Recent games makes me think 3 isnt enough, we'd be royally screwed if Dasilva or Grimes get injured and the wingers both need cover minimum. Loans will be fine for most of those.Nobody does, I still think 5 is too many. 3 ideally.
They finished the game well on top, managed it well after going ahead. The match report on the BBC website says they put in a "superb performance".

Doug has made a lot of big calls since being here. And more often than not makes the correct call, even if, at the time it doesnt feel that way. He makes very good and valid reasons for his making of decisions and is clear and decisive in doing so. However, after watching his TalkSport interview midweek, his reasoning for wanting a small squad, so everybody feels part of it, has been our downfall today, I feel. Let's hope it's only a blip, and doest turn out to be the downfall of the season. We need investment in January, and today is living proof of that. I also think Bamford scoring again for Blades may also have been a poor decision. Unless he was asking silly wages like £70k a week, but in his position im not sure he had the right to demand silly money.Oddly I'm ok with that display, it didn't feel like a 3 nil loss. Goalkeeper handling the ball isn't usually a straight red, it has to be denying a clear goalscoring opportunity as well. Being off centre has saved him there.Doubt it.
MVE might go through on goal and get sliced out the ref will miss it.
Or the Preston goalkeeper can pick up the ball wherever he wants and get laughed at by the referee.

Maybe it's exactly what we need.Honking second half that. Most of them looked knackered. Andrews and Wright tidy. 3-0 probably unfair. Their keeper made two or three really good saves. Could do without Preston away next.
no, that's not true or by that logic it can't DOGSO if it is off centre.Goalkeeper handling the ball isn't usually a straight red, it has to be denying a clear goalscoring opportunity as well. Being off centre has saved him there.
Excellent? I know you are stupid but that’s on another level, we played ok not excellentWe were excellent first half
