We were pretty poor going forward after they scored and as for the subs no point.

Except to manage legs looking towards Tuesday.

I know we lost 3 nil, but the back was less of an issue for me.We went too high chasing, but I'd rather we did have a go than defend a 1-0 defeat.

Biggest issue I thought today was no width or creativity. KKH for 10 or 20 at the end with tired legs and his pace is fine, against good opposition he's not a winger. EMC on the other side didn't want to go past and looked very pedestrian. No service to Ellis. Rudoni didn't look match-fit and struggled.

Eccles was a bit understandably tentative after his booking and Grimes ran miles covering lots of ground but not as progressive with the ball as usual.

Difficult to score really so I won't. Heads definitely dropped after the Hirst decision rather than galvanise and we just seemed a little off it for whatever reason.

Ah well onto Preston.

I think EMC suffered at the hands of the referee first and then Furlong throughout,he wasn't going to win anything yesterday?

Don’t want to bang on about it too much but it is obvious defence is our issue. And the main issue is our full backs. Put simply they are better going forward than defending. Positionally they are dire. It’s why we concede a lot of goals. Luckily we’ve been scoring a few as well!

It's the system we play. Teams always get chances against us. We have been lucky so far most teams have squandered their chances while we have been clinical with ours. Yesterday the shoe was on the other foot.

We move on and hope things are kinder for us on Tuesday.

It's a system that has worked for for second half of last season and first half of this. So I can't see Frank ripping it up just yet.

Exactly this. We press high and play a high line, this means we win the ball further up the pitch which is why we create and score a lot. It also leaves us susceptible at the back sometimes though. Might’ve been said elsewhere but before yesterday we still had the second best GA in the league

Not talking about yesterday. It’s a theme. We concede lots of goals. Off the top of my head West Brom. Two goals via completely absent full back positioning. It’s a choice we make which is working. But we’re never going to be able to shut up shop, so if we don’t keep taking chances there will be days like yesterday.

So our big problem is the full backs. Except when they're not.

The problem is clearly in defence and going on about Torp and Haji is totally missing the point. The attack has been bailing out the defence for weeks so we have been getting away with it. Eventually somebody would call our bluff. Not saying I told you so, although actually of course I am.

5 games in November, fell behind 3 times once by two goals. In another we let the opposition get back into a game from a two goal lead. It's been there for all to see but football fans' predilection for hyper optimism blinded people.

Blaming Rushworth is bonkers. He is the exact opposite of Wilson. Whereas Wilson had an armchair ride from his defence, Rushworth continually has to clear up the mess his defence has left him

The issue (for me) is that we get caught out too often playing a high line.
The second goal yesterday being a case in point, the guy ran from his own half onto a simple through ball and left Kitching trailing in his wake.
It happened several times against Watford, and against other teams too.
Yesterday we were chasing the game, but sometimes we go behind early when theres no need to be so gung ho, but I guess when your 10 points clear, theres no need to panic, but yesterday we didn't have the players to get us back in the game.

We usually make more chances than we give away

The defence is a significant part of the attack.
