Hello!

I'll be attending today as I am working locally and cannot get back to carrot crunching land until next weekend, so I'll come and cheer on Nouble (and the sky blues of course) as I've left it until the last minute are there many places to park around that don't need prior booking? Shame to see only about 3k tickets sold as well. But hopefully you'll get the result today!

Regards
Ben

Plenty of parking around the ground most charge 5pound at the local pubs, been a lot said about the attendance with not many really knowing the actual figures last I heard 11k sold but expecting a big walk up as getting tickets has been a bit of nightmare for some with queues and the online system not running smoothly hopeing for 15k in total, enjoy the day and hopefully Nouble will pick up from where he started

I think they used to have a minimum spend but this was years ago when it first opened.

Last I knew you'd need to be able to show you've spent £25 there if challenged or later contacted. Easiest thing is to buy a video game and then return it.

Thanks chaps.
I think I'll tip up, then drive around until I find somewhere... I take it there is a bit to do around the ground?

Thing is, the signs were there on all the lamp posts and parking zone posts, but at the Gillingham game they had all been removed.

No sign anywhere about minimum spend and restricted parking.

Plenty of shops. Next, New Look, Tesco, sports shop, pet shop, furniture shop, cafes, restaurants.

pizza hut part is actually not in the Tescos bit always been a bit more slacker.

As for Tesco's they only check on big attended games.

Thing is it does say you can park for 2 hours free unless you spend £50.00 then it is longer.

No tickets are given to you on the way in so they cannot even prove what time you arrived ......

Anyway welcome bhday hope you enjoy yourself....:)

They have only ever checked us once. They only asked for a receipt, luckily I had one from about 6 months previous!

There are lots of private independent places to park, ranging from £3 to £10, largely depends on how far you want to walk, the closer to the Ricoh generally the dearer it is.

But conversely the nearer you park, the harder it is to get away after the game, so I tend to park further away.

I'm using the official offsite car parking today (christ the king) http://www.ricoharenaparking.co.uk/ I got 50p off with prom code 'CCFC' making it £2.50 to park and as I live in Tamworth, I'm expecting to get quickly away heading towards Ash Green.

Thanks, with "Christ The King" do you HAVE to pre book, or can you turn up and pay? I don't have a printer and I'm guessing you have to print something off..

The Arena Park page still has this listed:

On match days and during events at the Ricoh Arena shoppers may park for free for two hours. Customers may extend their free parking beyond two hours if they spend a total of £25 in any retailer on site (not including Petrol Station, Burgar King, Pizza Hut). Single visit applies, retain receipt to show on exit. A £50 parking fee may be charged for non-compliance with this policy.

Somebody wants to have a good look around and make sure they haven't installed those private parking company cameras.

The tesco in Truro has a similar problem with people parking there then walking off into town to go shopping. They have a new system where a camera clocks your car reg as you come in. On your till receipt you have a code which you have to type into a machine on the way out along with your car reg to avoid a parking ticket. Wouldn't be surprised if that system gets installed at ricoh tesco

You can pre-book, that's how I got 50p off, but pre booking is now closed for this game, however, you can still pay at the gate £3. The car park is in Winding House lane

Actually they are enforceable it just depends on how aggressively the parking company wants to push it.

They pretty much are as if anyone received a letter just refuse to show the £25 receipt tell them you will produce in court. These companies never take court action
