I would love Warnock for the season. I suspect Kieron Dyer will be our next manager. Just a hunch

Love going to your ground. Don't change or god forgive you build a new one on the outskirts of the town amongst a trading estate. It's a proper footie ground and as it's by the train station and in the centre a great day out.
As I live in Norwich I can't avoid finding how you and the team in canary yellow get on each week, but I hope you have a good season next time, and just for you, that we stuff the Canaries next season home and away

Weirdly enough changing grounds has always been a feat of mine. Me of our biggest mistake was adding a top tier to the north stand. Wasn’t needed at all. I assume you guys go back to the Ricoh now which is good news. I’m sure you’ll do fine. Best team we’ve played this season across 2 games.

We need it, Wasps need it, fans want it. If only it was that simple though!

I think the promotion puts more pressure on SISU to settle but gives Wasps more negotiating power. If gates go up as expected it's a lot more money we'd be losing by playing in Brum.

Not sure if the power shift has any bearing on the chances of getting a deal though - SISU don't like being pushed into a corner.

At the same time, the clout of a championship football team would attract more marketing cash, the stadium sponsorship deal has been mentioned. Any sponsor would want the football team there. That strengthens our negotiating position in my opinion

It does, but ultimately they have the final say as they own the place.

If we're all socially distanced then another season at At Andrews will make little difference.

Its such a ridiculous situation now. We are by far the biggest club out of the 2 with more fans and more media coverage. Which is why stadium advertising and Stadium sponsorship will pay a premium if CCFC are playing there. Thing is Wasp will want to reap all the benefits, you cannot blame CCFC for sticking 2 fingers up and staying at St Andrews. A Rugby club getting 3-4000 does not have the same appeal, I think the council thought Wasp would regularly attract over 20000 which hasnt been the case. Its all massively back fired but will they want to lose face who knows, all I know is its a massive fuck up and the City Council should be totally ashamed for letting it happen.

That is true. But at some point, possibly next season but possibly the following, the point holds.

To our friend from Ipswich, Kieron Dyer - a bit left field? Don’t know whether he’s prominent around your way, but I’ve not seen anything of him for years, and he never seemed to me to be someone who showed any interest in the management/coaching side of the game?

As we are starting next season BCD's, then we need to ensure we're playing on a pitch that suits our team, so we maximise home advantage.
Currently, with Wasps starting playing in August with the wear and tear that brings ...and if the pitch at the Ricoh is the same as previous seasons, then I don't see any advantage in being back in Coventry unless we are playing £100 a game.
Once spectators are allowed post Covid....different matter, as revenue would be much higher at the Ricoh compared to St.A.
It's a question of: A. How much to hire each stadium for games Ricoh v St.A
B. Which pitch will give the team the maximum home advantage.
C. Once spectators are allowed is the extra revenue worth compromising our style of play

Isn't the Premiership Rugby which starts in August going to be at neutral venues?

I suggest a couple of missed very important other questions
D. Do you want to play in the City that Coventry City represents and the vast majority of fans would find it easier to get to?
E. Is winning more important and style of play more important than 100 years plus of history?

So you would be happy with watching crap football and the team losing every week, tumbling down the leagues into Sunday football as long as it was at the Ricoh. That scenario wouldn’t be a great epitaph for 100 years of history, would it?

The terms of the agreement with London Legacy Corporation has a impact on naming rights, in terms of who would be allowed to become a sponsor and the percentage they receive, so WHU might be seeking too much money from a limited number of suitors

No football fan wants rubbish football and losing every week but much more preferable to having "non-home" games. A quite absurd and extreme hypothetical example but to answer it, yes I would rather see that at Ricoh Arena. Sure seasons 2000/01, 2011/12 and 2016/17 were very disappointing but that's nature of football . A whole lot better than 2013/14 (part of 14/15) and 2019/20. Don't get me wrong delighted to be promoted and get back to a level more appropriate to the Coventry City but not going to home games was a big downer.
