It wasn't Mutton I was on about, it was Lynette Kelly, who herself said it was a bailout.

I didn't state is as fact, I'm just saying the BBC are also making a 'false statement'.

But, alas, Cloughie is always right.

In simple terms my post means ACL can exist with the football club in residence -- without the club my opinion is it won't.

The payment of rent is a sideshow and not the main issue.

Why have you turned this tread into ACL and the ground crap yet again. This was about where Shitsu get their money from, sod all to do with ACL

No it's well documented on here by many that you always think your right,

But you do seem to have calmed down a little recently

Of course -- it's just like the days the British Motor Industry was bailed out by the taxpayer.

Good business sense for us all.

Almost certainly we will end up with a similar outcome as well.

I doubt it is in any imaginable way it is a similar scenario, yet the outcome no one can predict

% wise CCFC surviving or ACL , if I were a betting man and I'm not, but my money would be on ACL at the moment

I just CBA anymore... But I will back my opinions. I hope after all this falling out, every CCFC fan will look back after it finishes, and laugh it off.

For me though, I'm on CCFC's side and I do believe the club is in the right here, just SISU, well, technically CCFC, have gone about it in the wrong way, having said that, I do not know if they tried to deal with it in a better way.

I will say this, although I, and others are seemingly in the minority, it doesn't mean we are wrong, and I do hold this view: If SISU weren't negotiating, you could cut ACL's support by a minimum of 50%, regardless if they thought we were right or wrong.

You are inevitably right as in troubled times ACL can rely on the good old Coventry Taxpayer to help out as no doubt the financial terms can be "restructured" time and time again.

The Football Club cannot.

It stinks.

Don't disagree with any of that and am intrigued that they may appoint a new manager at this point, especially if they given him a 3 year deal. I just think that ACL/CCC/Alan Higgs have lost trust in Sisu utterly and that despite of Sisu's money and seeming willingness to keep backing the losses up means that they need to go and fast so that someone else can come in and negotiate with all parties to give us a club that could be sustainable and competitive!

On that I agree and hope that we will be able to laugh it off sooner rather than later and just get back to supporting our team, without having to even consider what is going on behind the scenes.

all of these various monetary amounts, from whichever party / side,
they have never been reasonably justified or explained,
e.g. this mythical £45m - sisu,
this mythical £14m - acl etc.,
oh how nice it would be to be have the truth, the whole truth & nothing but the truth,

I am glad you have realised they have gone about it in the wrong way.

Unfortunately they continue too so.

No quick solution on the horizon

What would stink to high heaven would be the council paying out £45M council tax to write off the debt SISU have let the Sky Blues rack up. That would be around £140 for everyone living in Coventry.

The whole Council decided to support ACL because they clearly see SISU as an unprofessional, untrustworthy company with PISS all over them.

The point of the thread was to highlight what type of investor Sisu has. They also have US universities as investors, these are conservative organisations.

Do they know that they are investing in a third tier English football club with little likelihood of ever seeing a return on their investment?
