I'm not going to give any identification of said individual but situation is like this:

Fisher is doing nothing, he has no role at the club whatsoever, he's certainly not doing anything towards a new stadium.
Waggot is generally a decent bloke but only an employee and is completely hand tied with incoming players as there are no funds available.
Pressley only has what he has and does care passionately but the so called budget at CCFC is not as high as some tout on here at all.
Seppalla only inquires after the results once a week and provides funds according to needs for basic operation from Central funds from SISU HQ
Protests are pointless at matches because no actual SISU representatives are generally in attendance.
The characters we are familiar with are not central to strategy.
There is no apparent plan other than the refusal to give up on litigation but no one who runs the club on a day to day basis really knows.

Nothing shocking there but an insight.

Thanks, very interesting and certainly similar to what I suspected. Someone should send Joy a link to the BBC Sports page or CCFC home site - then she could save 10p on a phone call that could be used more productively to sue a child or something.

Also interesting that SISU is still effectively bankrolling the club for operating costs. Weren't we told that we were now no longer operating at a loss?

Could you ask your friend if, as I suspect, the transfer money goes straight to SISU as interest and debt repayment?

Sorry for not thinking everything through for one post. One more question: If transfer money does go straight out of the door, does this mean that debt to SISU is now decreasing? If so, this would imply that they can keep going for ages with a strategy of cashing in on the youth team. I do expect Madison to be gone in this window.

Call me old fashioned or correct me any accountants on here... if we are cashflow positive wouldn't that imply we are also at least breaking even on operating costs?

Not necessarily.

You get paid say £2k at the start of the month. You are then cash flow positive. Over the course of the month your bills total £2.5k. So you have lost £500 in that month, but you were still cash flow positive at the start of the month.

Being cash flow positive can just be a temporary thing.

So I guess the future existence of our club is essence on hold until all legal paths have been exhausted?

To the OP...is your contact legit? Reliable?

At some point during the month you would not be even on cashflow though wouldn't you? So that's not a valid example.

That was just after all the season tickets had been sold, of course the situation was cashflow positive, but it was probably only temporary.
Now the only income is on matchdays or if a fee is received for transfer dealings (fees are usually paid in installments based on targets, like #games played).
I would be willing to bet that the club is cashflow negative in between home games.

* Is TV money is paid in one sum or spread out?

No you wouldn't. But do you think in the summer months when there are no games that clubs are cash flow positive? I would bet that every club in the country is cash flow negative during the summer.

What Fisher did was take a snapshot of the clubs financial position at a specific time. In doing that you can make a businesses financial position look like what ever you want it to.

Is this anything we didn't know?

We know sisu don't give a shit and are cutting back more and more as the days and months go by. This is why we won't get any more okayers this month and will be league 2 come May.

What can we do about it? Nothing

seems to me like a re run of our relegation from the champioship; if SISU had invested a little then we could have stayed up.Exactly the same now!

Did you notice that the message about signings in this window seemed to alter.. of course there is still nearly a week to go and something may happen.

Don't know what you think but it smacks of Waggot having recently had a meeting with Seppala to look at the numbers and being told to cut back even more.

All speculation of course.. but smoking guns and all that gubbins.. ehhh.

If that is the case it's shitty but ok I accept that's the case, but what I don't understand are all the mixed messages? One thing from Pressley, another from Waggott, one thing in December, another in January?

If SISU ares still bankrolling as suggested, wouldn't the debt still be increasing?

Yes completely reliable, doesn't have access to balance sheets and money transfer destinations obviously but has had plenty of one to one with afore mentioned individuals. As for Pressley and Waggot making statements about possibilities on players, from what I hear I honestly don't think there is great communication coming down from the ivory tower, even to them. The policy appears to be, run at a very low cost, do whatever you have to do to maintain budget and keep things ticking over whilst we exhaust all legal avenues, after that, we're in the lap of the Gods ?!

But aren't inconsistent messages entirely consistent with their usual behaviour?

Hopefully when SISU have lost all their legal battles they may decide to leave.

Seppala only inquires after the results once a week …

... and having been told “Brilliant, exceptional, absolutely outstanding”, presumably thinks we are top of the table.

Unfortunately because they are starting a new case it will probably run at least as long as the ongoing JR.. how long has that been going, almost 2 years, n'est pas?

The worrying thing is what they will leave when they go. By the time this lot finally bale out there will only be the wreckage of a once great club.

No revelations no but confirmation for many on what they suspected anyway. Soundbites are put out by the characters on the frontline about Stadiums, land deals, transfers etc but these are just statements made by front men who seemingly have to come out with something when questioned by the media.

It ties in with the conversation I had with Wasps Jeremy Wilton where he said that they were only dealing with the club not Sisu who were keeping out of it.
He did say they had a good relationship and were working closely with CCFC.

Yep, I said on another thread I think a new owner would find it extremely difficult to turn us around. The damage done may be irreparable.

I think they are simply covering day to day shortfall. Meanwhile I think they are running down a few contracts for players they bombed (e.g. Baker, are there any others now?).
After those costs end maybe they will be running at break even, that is exactly what I've been saying their strategy has been for a while now.

Maybe we (well OSB) will see if they are simultaneously servicing interest on ARVO debt when the accounts are published, I suspect they are..

Who is it that they are working closely with? Presumably not Fisher if you're reporting he has no role at the club.

You'd rather he had kept it to himself? I thought 'the characters we are familiar with are not central to strategy' was intrigueing. Does that include Seppala?
