Just wondered if anyone has seen or been inside the ricoh since the charity match?
Is the grass overgrown around 4ft high or is it kept ready incase of a swift return?

Well they took on the CCFC groundsmen so you can only assume they have kept up pitch maintenance.

I think the pitch is still being well looked after as the women have been there.

A Facebook buddy stayed at the DeVere hotel yesterday, in one of the executive suites and posted a photo of the pitch

The pitch is looking in pristine condition, ready to move back into.

Just imagine the good football we would be able to continue to play through the winter on that surface rather than a boggy mess

I went to a event about a month ago, inside seemed fine but it is starting to look very shabby outside. I seemed to remember the concourse area looking shite the season we left it too. Needs some maintenance!!

Like the Ricoh last season?

Different team, different style of play.

Really? I thought last season the pitch was a significant leveller and a reason we had such a poor home record - in what way are we different this season?

Well the club shouldn't have cut its maintenance budget then should it?

I wasn't aware they had. What was the budget for the previous 2 years and the percentage reduction?

Well you produced that quickly. The headline says it all really doesn't it? Some of us keep in open mind and don't believe everything ACL says.

took 5 seconds on iccoventry.....
I just posted the link..your conclusions from it are just that..your conclusions.
I find it best to keep an open mind? ;)

Surprising as the landlords are booming at the minute.

How many times have ACL made statements that have later proven to be false? (and by false I don't just mean Fisher or some other Sisu stooge contradicting them)

How many times have Sisu made statements that have later proven to be false?

Offering otium £150,000 a year rent? You think it was offered and I don't post liquidation. Interestingly of course when ot suits old Timmy tells the truth doesn't he?

Neither side lies they just have a way of saying something - and both are equally culpable.

I don't think anything has been offered post Liquidation, but I've never seen ACL claim that it has.

I'm sure they have told the odd porkie, but nothing compared to Sisu.

I thought the offer was to the administrator who at that time had all the assets? I may be wrong on that and I'm obviously happy to be corrected.

What ? I mean the pitch being in such a good condition is conducive for the style of our play this season. WTF are you on about ?

I am so fed up of all this crap, "the 150,000 offer was made to the Admin, not Shitzu therefore they were unable to accept it". Total shit! they would have known of the offer and could easily have accepted it if they so chose. They did not for one reason and one reason only. They hoped to distress ACL to the point of gaining the Ricoh for pennies and that is still the plan. We will build our own stadium.......Yea right Timmy.

I know that last season SISU wouldnt let the Groundsman use the heaters to help the grass grow in the winter. This is why the pitch deteriorated and our home results got worse.

You would have to be pretty daft to not realise that the main point of moving away was to force a sale.
Accepting any rent deal at all is counter conductive to this.

Oof... there's something rather poignant about that picture. The pitch looks perfect. Wonder how Northampton's will look by February with both teams playing there....

One things for certain - it can't be any worse than the Ricoh last season post November.
