Wesley Jobello’s training full-time with us again now and he’s in a position where he can start to play games which is brilliant.

Dacosta suffered some ligament damage, but he is now ahead of schedule for a return to action, with Robins suggesting he is a few weeks away.

Liam Kelly, who suffered an injury against Bristol has resumed training today, so things are looking up on that front now too.

Marcel Hilssner has also resumed training, after recovering from illness which kept him out of the QPR clash and also that Jodi Jones has successfully undergone his operation.

Good to see Kelly is nearly back, we will need his experience.
I can’t see Jobello or Hilssner getting in the first team unless we get a really bad run of injuries.
Dacosta has the hardest job in the squad in trying to displace Dabo, but he sounds like he could be a decent back up if Dabo needs a rest.

Yes I hope JJ gets fit.....so we can offload him and get him off the payroll (dons tin hat and retires to a safe distance)

better days

What’s the implication of that exactly? Quicker recovery time? Less chance of repeating the injury?
It's early days as the op only happened on Wednesday but the repair by Andy Williams should significantly reduce the chance of a recurrence
Trying to come back quickly after ACL surgery is almost always a mistake so our medical team won't want to take any chances

Taken from Why Some Athletes Re-Tear Their ACL After Surgical Reconstruction
One of the most important aspects of ACL surgery success is how well the graft is positioned inside the knee joint. Not every surgical procedure is performed with the same degree of precision, and there are variables that can lead to problems if the new ACL is not properly positioned. The graft must restore the function of the normal ligament, therefore it must be positioned in a similar fashion to the normal ligament.
Inaccurate positioning of the graft can lead to abnormal mechanics of the joint and an increased chance of re-injury. Finding a surgeon who regularly performs ACL surgery can help.
