That's a pain. Pask was really versatile to have on the bench. Wonder if Morgan Williams signing a new contract recently has anything to do with this? Can he play RB as well as CB?
This is the thing... 1 or 2 injuries to people like Kelly, Godden, MacFadzean for example and the squad becomes very weak!
That’s like every squad in the league though - if the whole spine gets injured not many teams can cover that
Leaves us short at RB if Dabo were to get injured. I don’t think any of the first team CB’s could cover there, so we’d probably be looking at the youth team. Who is the current youth team full back? I bet Hickman is kicking himself even more now - he’d have been back up RB now wouldn’t he?
Given he's started well in the centre I'd be reluctant to move him out wide, but if we've got Hyam to come into the centre it might be the only option. Wakefield can apparently play RB but he's injured too, so other than Hickman I can't really see anyone even in the youth ranks. I thought Rowe was a centre back and then there's a first year called Adam Taylor. U18's had a lad called Reeve at RB first game of season.
Allen “nearly ready” maybe he won’t make the squad tomorrow then...Pask 3 months wtf happened there ? Maybe the reason we were linked with Jordan Clarke then.
Find me a squad in this division where you take out the three best players and they don’t become very weak. For the sake of argument (it is SBT after all) is this team really “very weak”? Marosi Dabo Hyam Rose Mason Jobello Allen Shipley/Westbrooke/Eccles Kastaneer Biamou Hiwula I’d still back that team to come top half.
“Jamie Allen is coming back from his injury and he is running now and running pain free, so hopefully we can get him back training early part of next week and build him up that way.” Training early part of next week, probably won’t have him for Saturday.
That has not been backed up by results for our friends in the North so far! Pissing the league would be looking a class apart like city do in the premiership.
You're right he did. MR did an interview a few weeks ago that made it sound like he'd got a problem that was going to be one of those annoying ones that they just can't seem to diagnose the issue let alone remedy it. Good to hear he's on the mend.
