Sheaf and Wright were impact injuries and the other 2 not used to the levels so picked up injuries.

Let's hope the new setup, medical team and performance analysis aren't going to kill the team off before the season starts!!

He said haji wasn’t in any significant pain so I’d imagine he’ll be back fairly quickly.

Always has been, Eccles yesterday alluded to how tired Sheaf and he was last season towards the end of the season. With Torp & Sheaf down, we could be starting the Stoke game with a midfield of Eccles, Rudoni and Allen / Palmer. Which isn’t ideal.

None of the injuries sound serious, and I would expect all of them will be fit by Aug 10th. Torp & Rodrigues have been missing for over a week now, so plenty of time left to get fit, and hopefully all will be available in 10 days for Werder Bremen.

The joy is that last night none of Torp, Rodrigues, Wright or Dovin were available, and Sheaf really as he last minutes, and we still looked very comfortable and even had the luxury of having a 12th substitute
