Did anyone on here get involved with the short lived inflatables craze.
Man Citeh started it with the Bananas 🍌 some sort of tribute to Imrae Varadi, then Grimsby with Harry Haddock, and I recall Norwich having loads of inflatable Canaries.
For some reason I started taking a massive fried egg on the Kop.
Anyone else?
I do recall several inflatable Elephant's kicking about.

There doesn’t seem to be any evidence online of the fez craze after we bought Hadji and Chippo, but I seem to remember loads of people wearing them in the West Terrace.

There was also the Ski hats faze, started by the scousers I believe.
Still got mine.
Every other person seemed to wear one.

Don’t think the thousands of blow up Haddock Grimsby brought in that FA Cup-tie will ever be beaten I wonder where they got them all from.
We beat them with a last minute penalty and loads were left on the terrace after the game.

All of the colours and paraphenalia that came out in ‘87 were fantastic because for a few years before it was more fashionable to wear Italian and other designer sportswear and gear as many of us did ….the 80s casual boys, loved it. The Cup final brought back the flaunting of the Sky Blue once more .

Deerstalker hats like Sherlock homes…. Bit of a weird thing in the 80’s. 🤷🏻🤷🏻

I was going to add this myself when I discovered this thread yesterday.
I think they were more part of the casuals millinery collection rather than just being a random fad though.

Lots more women than there used to be.....

😂😂 what’s happened there… looks like Greggs is the wrongun when it’s my comment
