I did think a few days ago that this could potentially turn out to be a permanent signing.

The acquisition of Lyle Taylor by Forest clearly got the wheels moving on this one and with Walker out of contract at the end of the season (no option of compo due to age either) they were quite clearly going to be open to offers.

Huge credit to Robins and the backroom staff for getting this deal over the line.

Was going to say exactly that. Always a bit of a gamble with the step up but an exciting signing (a forest mate is surprised we’ve managed to get him)
