I will be honest I used to look down on people from the North East until my sister moved there. I think it's the accent. But, when I heard Waggot speak I used to cringe. Now I see how wrong I was. He is a man of immense pride, passion, honesty and integrity. It's a crying shame that the characteristic traits he possesses is so evidently lacking in other people in power within the club. Same goes for SP. I knew him as the player he was at CCFC. He was like most Scottish imports after 2000 who resembled conference level skills with premier mentalities. How wrong I was. He is the best manager to come out of Scotland in years with a focus, belief and attitude second to none. If CCFC didn't have these two God knows where we would be as a club, or as fans. I cannot speak highly enough about these two and thank God for their existance. We are so lucky to have them. I believe most fans would have been happy for us to struggle or even fold, but, because of SP and his backroom staff we are proud of our team again.

I agree about Pressley and Waggot, but saying "most fans would be happy for us to struggle or even fold ", is to say the least absolute tosh, just because people like myself want to see the back of sisu does not mean i want the team to fail. Play up Sky Blues, NOPM, SISU OUT.

Let's hope, if we loose a bit of confidence or get a few injuries, when the form dips people stick by SP.
With everything that is going on around the club and the amount of managers we have gone through in recent years....we are crying out for stability.
We need a youth development programme and a footballing philosophy. This signature has to be written by the management and underwritten by the owners. Players and fans have to buy into it. There has to be transparency about what we are working towards and clear goals and aims....realistic goals and aims.
I thought SP was a promising young player when he was here, passionate, at times reckless and prone to the big costly mistake...but full of promise. I was sorry to see him go.
But I also believe this is one of SP's strengths now. He comes here knowing what we once were, plus I think he feels he still has something to prove to the fans. He is not all rhetoric, he obviously watches football and illustrates his ideals with examples of the teams and the football philosophy he wants to convey.
I am looking forward to Wolves our biggest test to date. We will have to be well organised and defensively strong with good levels of concentration. We may have to endure long periods of sustained pressure. But quick counter attacking should suite and be well within our players capability.
It's an opportunity for some of our boys to grow into men. An opportunity they wouldn't get at other clubs.
Let's encourage them to do that at Wolves today our fans need to be passionate and patient.

I met Pressley at the end of season awards dinner, he gave me around 20 minutes of his time.
He is one of the most passionate people I have met, and he certainly has a vision for our club, keeping hold of him however may provebe a problem , I'm certain others will be keeping an eye on him, and if he were to be approached I'm convinced he would be offered a chance elsewhere.
He is compelling, intelligent and passionate, and has "something" special which I can't put my finger on ?
He has been compared with Mourinio by some, and Sir Alex is an admirere, so let's enjoy the journey while it lasts, it may be a short one ?

What is this love affair with Steve Waggott, in my opinion he is the other cheek of the same backside and is good at saying what fans like to hear. Listen to his interview with Clive Eakin and count how many direct questions Waggott answered, as always he skirted them. He may become a decent club man in different circumstances but at the moment he is a Sepalla puppet, been manouvered into Fisher's position, guarded in his answers and currently as a director clearly supports the sisu plan whatever that is.
As for Steve Pressley he is doing an outstanding job in very difficult circumstances, given a free rein I believe he will do better, over to you Mr Waggott.

Very early days to judge the team and the management as, they have only played one top six side Brentford who were far superior on the day. Wolves away today will be the test on how the season might pan out, and if we get a decent result, then certainly the management can be justly proud of what they have achieved they certainly have shown promise if anything but the long season ahead small squad difficult circumstances, and the pitch at Northampton (tele punter) is already showing signs of being an Achilles heel to our passing game and if they fall badly away, then many will be after SP's head and will soon forget his current working circumstances.Although both SP & SW have not done there CV any harm.

SP has started very well and does come across as someone who knows what he wants for his teams and himself in the game..I hope he gets time and the support to carry on making the playing side of the club move forward. My worry is if he carries on he will be on the move or the lack of stability and support come jan he will seek pastures new if he feels like his hands are tied....Its another time will tell situations with him either way we could lose a manager who like Robins is turning out a very decent appointment..
As for SW i listened last night to his interview where he doesn't really answer the questions directly goes a bit off track until he hides what he was asked.. Trained by our own TF no doubt,,, do i rate him? probably ,,, do i trust him and what he says,,, Not at all he is on a certain board that has took us down this rd and quite happily followed...

true but seppala and fisher want the money for themselves and the sisu investors they don't seem to include coventry city fc in this equation, we are just a means to an end.

Well pointed out JW. SP deserves recognition for what has been achieved so far given the constraints. Mr Waggott on the other hand is very firmly a sisu man as opposed to a CCFC man.

Every last penny CCFC had, and you can see by the wilful destruction of OUR club that sisu will continue to suck the last possible drop before they do the decent thing and CLEAR OFF.

I've been for Fans Forums and spoken to Waggott and the Trust open meeting with Pressley and I've been very impressed by both. Say what you like about the current board, but they seem to get their football appointments right so far. At least in comparison to the last decade or so. Just a shame that the rest of the club has gone to shit at the same time.

Some things are being done well at the Club especially at the Academy, the port vale programme was striking, which gave our players previous clubs, most were simply Academy.
Wow! How many pennies did the club had when sisu came in? How many have they stolen those scumbags?
It remains the most baffling argument used by the more foaming-at-the-mouth anit-SISU types, the idea that they have 'milked' the club. Are there some mysterious money fairies based at Ryon who magic up the players' wages every week?
You can accuse SISU of a lot of things - from financial mismanagement to questionable ethics - but the idea they suck money out of the club is absurd, and it discredits those who take the SISU out at all costs standpoint (even if it means staying in Northampton by refusing to sell the Ricoh to SISU). We all want SISU out, and we all have our reasons for that, but 'sucking money out of the club' is not one shared by many I suspect.
Anyhow, came on here to talk about a great result and end up getting embroiled in all this shizzle again. Happens every time!

There is a possibility that SISU quite like CCFC to be a distressed asset for various Tax options such an asset gives a Hedge fund. So maybe not milk CCFC of money, but milking its situation to hide other money from the tax man ? I don't know

No there isn't. A hedge fund manages funds for investors. Imagine the investor is you. You invested £1mm with SISU to make money and they lose it all. Are you happy?
Imagine that you invested £1mm in Royal Mail shares also this year - and doubled your money. So your net gain is zero. So you pay no tax. Happy now? Of course not. You would much rather have made £2mm profit and paid the tax (capital gains tax is max 28%). And that assumes you didn't register yourself in the Cayman Islands and avoid tax anyway - like SISU.
SISU is losing loads of money on CCFC and they hate it.
